Review the Dream Town above you!

I went to Phantom yesterday and hands down, that was the prettiest acnl town I've ever visited! Even the villagers are awesome! Made me realize that I still have a lot to do in my town

Review of Gensokyo

Well, I started off by looking at your town layout and I have to say I love the landscape of the town.
My first impression of the town was that it was zen themed but after about 20 seconds of wandering,
it had come to my attention that it was surely a Touhou themed town.

I thought I'd first start by inquiring the questions you had about the town and asked for suggestions.
My first trip over to the very top right corner of the town. The paths are nicely chosen and placed though I don't see the appeal in walking completely horizontally only to be greeted with a rack of rice.
Personally, I'd put a bench here (preferably log or metal) and line the edges around it with flowers of any choice really. It seems like a nice corner to just chill. a picnic blanket would also work here! Though I've seen that you already have one of those, very cute personal touch.
Walking down to the southern part of town, I had stumbled upon a rather dead looking area.
The dramatic shift in scenery was rather surprising and kept me on my toes for what was next.

Visiting the houses was a delight, each house is decorated uniquely and has character and personality in every room.
About Marisa's right room which you.. ahem.. planned to be a Love Hotel. I'd probably just recommend splitting the room
into sections and putting beds in each one coupled with a mini-table with chocolate or other items of interest ( ͡? ͜ʖ ͡?) while seperating them off with screens.
As for Yukari's backroom, Unforunately I really don't know what to do with that room.. I'm unsure of what theme you were going for but it seemed to have been along the lines of a mountain campsite/living space. My favorite room was probably Reimu's left room, I really dig the furniture placement there ♥

My ending notes for this dream would be to think about flower arrangments. I noticed you had pretty much ALL your flowers on the beach set randomly. I can see the appeal in this and how people think it's nice but I don't really see the appeal.
Unless of course, this was on purpose and you're planning to use those flowers at a later time in which case, keep up the good work and I hope to see more of this town updated in the future ♪

Anyway, for the next person down.
Hope you have a wonderful dream of my town, Bellocan.
Dream address is in my sig but just in case, here it is: 5000-5241-0999
Have fun ~ ♥

Thanks, and you guessed right. It's based on Touhou.
I already plan to put a bench at the top right, the rack of rice is just keeping villagers from moving there
and no, the beach has no order; it's just my flower bank

to the person that'll review my town! i'd really like input on where to start placing bushes, i can't think of any places that look decent enough! i'd also like to know if my paths work for my town, which police station i should choose, and what you think could replace my lighthouse! (the lighthouse is getting demolished tomorrow) thank you~ DA is in my sig btw!

*have a path going between Rudy and Molly's houses to Chrissy and Francince's houses
-I don't know what to replace the lighthouse with since I don't know what kind of vibe you're going for
-place bushes around paths or use them, trees, and flower to create pseudo-paths
Marissa's house
-matching carpet's in main and right rooms
-replace jukebox in left room with phonograph

Final Thoughts:
-I see a lot of potential, but very little fulfilled. It's still too much of a blank slate to suggest anything because you don't seem to have taken the town in any direction at all. If I were you, I'd go dreaming and see what strikes your fancy and gets those creative juices flowing.

(my town is a work in progress, i forgot to mention that), my right room has changed to a blue room customized with sapphire, and i'm not very big on decorating my house so that kinda explains why they're all plain? i'm still filling in everything but i'm kinda slow on that, i'm really busy with school currently so it's harder to find time to landscape, esp. because i'm not super creative, but thank you for your feedback!

I visited the town of Candylnd. The town name didnt really fit, since I didn't see the sweets exterior/sweets furniture anywhere. :]
I liked the throwing beans and the umbrella you put out, but everything to pick up was super overwhelming.
The paths are cute, but really oddly-placed. they cut through the plaza and look strange.
The toy tires PWP is in a very odd place? It looks pretty strange there. The villagers were very cute and had their houses in very nice spots. I liked how Francine and Crissy were right next to each other.
The houses looked unfinished, especially the one with only a piano? but you have a very cute town, and i love all the hybrids, even if some of them are kinda mixed in so it looks weird. :]

Apparently, my dream is just going to get drowned out by reviews of reviews ;;

I dreamed the lovely dream of Ahoge and I gotta say the moment I stepped foot off of the bed, I fell in love with the patterns.

They're so lovely, oh my gosh! Wandering around a bit, I gotta say I love the area around the plaza so far, lovely work with it so far! If it's going to get even better, I can even fathom how much I'm going to rave over this town.
The beach though, I noticed was all yellow flowers, now I don't know if that's supposed to be intentional or not but I suggest mixing up the colors on the beach, my beach also has flowers but not entirely yellow.

This little fairy-tale bench here is almost in the identical spot of where mine is in my town! I like the little spot here right near the train tracks. Also the way you arranged those bushes make it feel really cozy ♥ I also normally don't like red lilies but you make them work ♪

I like the gardening in the town, the flowers are arranged in a nice pattern are coupled with other flowers that compliment both the area and the neighboring flowers as well as the villagers living near them! Very nice touch.
Though I personally dislike long lines of bushes such as this one.

bfe56f1c8c.JPG

I also JUST noticed that there's a bridge behind this one house????
I assume this was the work of a nefarious house placement but if this was intentional.. why?
Seriously.. why? is there some kind of new appeal with hidden bridges? Either way, this house obstructs the nice view of both the bridge and the landscape behind it. Hopefully, for my sake this will be rectified in the future of Ahoge.

thank you for your review! i created the town when i had no clue of the huge animal crossing community and just chose a random name because i couldn't think of one. if i restarted, the name would be "siempre" which is always in spanish, therefore there wouldn't really be a theme for my town~ idk why i put everything out haha i'll probably change that, it was raining so i put the umbrella out. i just put the piano out in harper's house haha, she has all the bush starts and paths, i probably won't work on her house for awhile, but the first room will be a roccoco room when i have time. the tire toy PWP was there for filbert because he suggested it then left, so i decided to put it in his place and i kind of like the rose bed there? i might change it but it's kinda a RIP haha, that's why the round streetlight is there, it's for cookie! i'm still working out where i want the flowers, and the black lilies by my house are so misplaced but i needed somewhere for them. thank you so much for the review!

@MayorDarryn, thank you for dreaming! :D I'm really happy about that!
For some reason, you did get the old version of my town, which IS quite strange!
I forgot to check for any plots one day, and flora ended up moving RIGHT in the middle of my path and bridge. She's out now, though! :-)
And I'll take your advice on those bushes- they do stick out like a sour thumb, haha! (after I achieve my final dreamie, i'll work more at the patterns! thank you soo much!)

since cheezyfries skipped over, i'll be visiting MayorDarren's town! :-)

The town of Bellocan is gourgeous! I'm a sucker for pink paths, and especially cherry blossums!
I love the compexity of the town and the pathways, i absolutely ADORE the use of four leaf clovers to create a secondary path, and the pathways down on the beach. :] One of my favorite parts of your town is all the PWP- especially the water pump with a grate, the park like area, and the tulip topiary with lil' baby tulips of all colours! This town is absolutely gorgeous, and it gave me a few Ideas for my own town! :D I would definetly reccomend this town to everyone I know!!<3

I didn't intend it that way and I never did. I'll start a review of Yukari's, but if I'm not mistaken she attempted a review of my town but my DA was incorrect. (after looking back) Since I never actually posted a review of Yukari's town, I just responded to her review of mine, I didn't intend to get a review, I just wanted to respond to what she said. I'll review Yukari's town now, but that wasn't my intention.

Review of Gensokyo~
When I first woke up, I immediately noticed the variety of paths at your plaza, they all look super nice and decorative! I was wondering, what was the intention of putting the river up to the train tracks? I really like your stone paths, and the picnic basket designs on the ground are really cute! I like how the bamboo fits in really well with the areas below your plaza. Personally, in the police station, Pierce and Flo's houses area, I think that there are too many trees, I kept on bumping into them :P My favorite part of your town is the dead trees / stonehenge area, I think it looks really pretty in the snow and is all scary and mysterious haha. I also like the diagonal path from the bushes to the bridge at the end of your town, but the tree in the middle is a little weird if you intended it to be that way? Another part that I really like is your eiffel tower PWP. It looks super pretty in the moonlight, I wonder what the area would look like with bushes instead of flowers. I'm not huge on mayor's houses, so sorry if what I say is a little scarce haha, I really like the main zen room, the customized gem furniture fits in pretty well, but maybe you could replace the HHA banner with some sort of animation sign? (i'm sure they have one, but i'm not completely sure, i don't do much design) Your festive room is super cute, it feels all homey and warm, and I'd maybe replace the snowman matryoshka with something else or get rid of it altogether because I keep on thinking that they'd melt because the room feels really warm? that's really weird but oh well. I love the spa room, it's the perfect mix of zen and spa! The "creepy" room (love how it's in the basement) is really well done, I like how everything just mixes together really well. The second floor room is really awesome, but I think that you should move the pink gyroid that has a round head so that it aligns with the yellow gyroid that's by the sword? Or maybe take out the exotic screen and replace it with a lamp or something so that the pink round gyroid can be moved up, if that makes sense. Overall, the house is really nice, and in particular I like the music: it seemed really fitting for each room! I forgot to check earlier, but the house I just reviewed is Yukari's house. Overall, I really enjoyed reviewing your town, the zen theme is well represented with a few mix ins that fit in perfectly. The one complaint I have is that sometimes my player couldn't fully move through because of the bushes planted inbetween bamboo. That's just my preference because I like being able to roam fully and ruin all the flowers :P Overall, I really liked your town, and I would definitely visit it again.

(to the person who reviews someone's town next, please review KantoKraze's town!)

edit: I forgot to mention this, but if any of this review seemed really jumbled and illiterate, I apologize in advance, I have a raging headache due to anxiety issues. As soon as I woke up in your town, I heard the chiming sound and saw a shooting star <3 so pretty.
I got to meet some villagers from my old town.. Bonbon, Olivia & Coco. I really miss them and I was so happy to see them in your town lol

I love all different paths/textures you used and how you placed some of them diagonally! I always have a hard time landscaping around diagonal paths/bridges (hence why everything is so straight in my town lol) but you make it work!! Very impressed.

My favorite spot is probbly around the hot spring & bus stop & town hall. Love all the bamboos and zen theme c: your mayors house is so beautifully decorated & match the zen / Asian (?) theme so perfectly! Great job. Love the main room & room on the right the most. Back room is a lil empty but still nice. Reimu has great house too, tho theme is kinda overlapping. I love the cafe in Marisas house & bathroom/spa in Alice's house (I just learned that bathtub can be customized.. Looks so much better than original blue ones xD)

You picked a really good spot for cafe & campsite. Probbly the best spot. (I also placed mine near the cliffs in my town lol) the paths around the cafe are so pretty.

Overall, you have a beautiful town!! I really enjoyed it while I was dreaming. Thank you for sharing your DA ^_^

Wow, very lovely. The outdoor bath area looks fantastic.Love the tulip topery.Paths are beautiful.Nice landscaping in front of the coffee shop. The fall trees look great. The campsite area is one of the best I've seen.I took a little nap on the hammock.

Now for my favorite part. The houses.

Alice's house- I love Alice in wonderland. You did a fantasic job decorating. That left room is awesome. I love the entire house.

Arabelle's house- Oh my. This house is perfect for a princess. I'ts beautiful.Every room was a joy to visit.

Juliette's house- As much as I loved the first two houses, this one is my favorite. It has so much personality, and I love when people mix and match furniture and flooring, but it still seems to go together.Great job.

I had such a nice time visiting Dawn. The characters look absolutely adorable, and the town and houses are gorgeous.I will be visiting again. Thanks so much for sharing. Oh, and I love the gifts and clothes you left out for visitors.

Those orange and purple flowers look so good in combination with the orange trees :]
The second floor of Chris? house in my favourite room! It looks so pretty and kind of reminds me of Molly?s house ^^
Even though Granny?s house is unfinished I love all of them! They look so cozy and remind me so much of when I was younger!
It seems like you put a lot of love in your town, and that is awesome!
I also love that place with all the tree stumps! It gives your town a unique look! ^^

But I am not really sure if I like it better... I still have some blank spaces and need some ideas! :]
