I thought I'd done Ivy Wood before but looking back I haven't; so I'll take a shot at it!
Not gonna lie, I spent the majority of my time throwing beans at things. I've never had the bean item before!!! ! ! thEY INTERACT WITH OTHER ELEMENTS. they bounce off villagers and fixtures, and splash in water! and when you throw them on flowers the flowers act like they were just stepped on - that little bounce thing they do! I HAVE LOTS OF PICTURES OF THE BEANS.
Anyway I actually wrote a real review so here goes.
Each of your villagers has flowers around their house, sorted by color, and all of them look good with the exterior design of the homes; and they all have pathways leading to their houses. I like it when people make it obvious that they care enough about their villagers to have them make an impact on the town design.
There's a fire pit by your waterfall, west of Stinky's house. I think it would look better without the path surrounding it, but that might be a matter of opinion. Especially with the trees, bushes, and lake so close, I feel like you could make it more natural looking.
Here's a really nice area:
You also have a really nice Zen Bell up by your train tracks, but it's surrounded by trees! If it's a continuation of the Eastern theme you have on the direct opposite side of the Plaza (with the hot spring, Zen Garden, etc), I would use more bamboo to signify that. The eastern side of your Eastern theme area looks great, even with (or perhaps, especially because of) the dead bamboo chutes (shoots?), so I would cut your fruit trees, move them elsewhere, and continue with the bamboo.
That being said, I'd like to note on your appropriate use of benches. The White bench looks really good with the Zen Garden (especially in the snow!), and then to the south, the log bench looks really good amongst your fruit trees.
I love when people leave me coffee I love you
The lower half of the eastern section of your town is really nice. Simple, but very nice. The color coordination of the roses is good too - mixing the red and yellow intermittently amongst the fruit trees, whose fruit is primarily red and yellow anyway; then the orange roses to match the orange stripes on the lighthouse.
Again, up by Sprinkle's house, you have a hammoc and a water well surrounded by paths, and I really think they'd look better without.
I haven't seen Booker in forever! I liked Copper better when playing the earlier games, and when I had the option to choose between the pups, I chose Copper without second thought. In my new town, however, I'm gonna choose Booker when the option arises. I like the "classic" police feel. He reminds me of Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith Show. What a dorky pup.
INSIDES
Love Patches' entry room. The red customized exotic set is choice, and looks great with the fall wall and carpet. I'm also pretty impressed by the massive collection of unorderable furniture you have! I'm glad to see that you got that beach room/cafe completed! It looks really cute! The Brewstoid family must be having such a nice little vacation. And wow, Pave and Gracie! I love it when people combine sets, because it looks like these were made for eachother!
Pieman's entry room is a sight to be seen as well! Minimalist, Regal, and Tatami sets. Shockingly white, but beautiful. Why does your 7/11 have a printer tho? Your game/bug/mush room to the left (and basement, in a different way) felt kind of haphazardly thrown together, but maybe I'm just not seeing it. Very impressed by your music room!
A very beautiful town. Here are some miscellaneous pictures! Excuse my blank expression, this is a new file.
I think your grapes are frozen, look!
Timbra is currently in my town too, so this happened:
She's gonna talk to me about Unidentified Floor Oranges tomorrow, I garuntee it.
Thanks for posting!

Instead of Nowhere, I'd like whoever comes next to review my
new One Year Challenge town of Rancho! You'll see immediately that it's a major WIP, and there's like... nothing in it. I have lots of PWPs all planned out!! (the spaces reserved are for the Cafe, a recycling bin, bench... and then two solar pannels and a wind turbine between them) I'm also really proud of my paths - I made them. Dude. Dude making corners took me so long. Anyway, I'd love some suggestions!

That's
Rancho, at 5300 - 5188 - 6515.
