Redd needs to appear more often...

Haven’t seen him for like two weeks now, but I’ve seen Saharah, Flick, Leif, Kicks, and Gulliver all twice since he last showed.

He should at least appear once a week, like come on Nintendo.

At this rate unless I trade or visit other people’s Island for Redd, I won’t have my art gallery done until like 2025 if I’m lucky.

YES! Honestly, I have seen him twice, once when he first appeared and only one visit after that, it's been forever. I'm honestly thinking it might be a bug at this point, because if he appears at my current rate, I'll be playing this game til my hair turns gray in hope of getting every painting....

i'm with you!!! believe they only limit him because of the people that tt... but what about us that don't??? it will take sooo long before we complete it. i don't think it's necessary to make him so rare, even if people do tt it's not as if they can just give us their items? they're not orderable and some of it would end up fake! it's hard to wait for a certain art as it is.

Yeah, I think once a week would be good for Redd to show up. I've only seen him once so far, apart from when you first meet him. Meanwhile I see Gulliver and Saharah so often that sometimes I just ignore them.

my idiot self only had the funds to buy one painting from him on his second visit (the one where you first go to his ship) and it turned out to be fake (i found a real vs fake painting guide right after i bought it, of course) so now im waiting for his scamming red tail to show itself again

I agree! I've maybe had him once since I upgraded my museum. It's even more frustrating since he's directly linked to progressing a big portion of the game unlike a lot of the other visiting NPCs.

He visited me twice so far. At one of those visits he only had fakes. Yes, only fakes. On the other hand Kicks and Leif comes every second day it seems and I want to buy nothing from them. This is ridiculous!

Yesterday I posted that I hadn't seen him since April 26th. Nintendo must've heard my complaints and they sent him my way lol. Also, he had a real painting, so the art wing won't be down to its bare bones lol.

Ok so not just me. I only got him twice in April and that was it. I was hoping to see him tomorrow since I have Lief today, but seeing as I will have a pig in a dog costume hogging up my plaza tomorrow I doubt he will show.

I think you're confusing "challenging" with tedious, tbh.

There's not much of a challenge in waiting an eternity to complete the museum.

A challenge would require actual effort on your behalf.

It's a challenge to catch all the bugs or fish...because, you need to do the work to catch them. It's a challenge to pay off your loan, because you need to make those bells. It's a challenge to design your island to look nice...because, it is time consuming and labor-intensive. But, waiting for something that might never happen is far from a challenge in my opinion. We don't need Redd on a guaranteed weekly schedule like Daisy Mae. But...we definitely need the rotation tweaked a bit. There's not much of a challenge in sitting and doing nothing while we wait for a completely random appearance that might not happen for a whole month...especially when some people get him often, and others don't. That's just unfair, tbh. The game needs to be better balanced than that.

Na, I don't find it tedious that he doesn't come as often. I just think it's something you can look forward to. The more often he comes, the more often you're able to get all paintings/statues and complete the museum. You could get paintings/statues from other islands if you're in much need of them, but I'm not sure what's wrong with waiting for him to come even if he comes less often for some people. And you're not waiting for something that might never happen, it does happen. Don't get me wrong, I just got Redd again today, and I've been playing since launch.

We're all getting different NPC visits. I don't think there's any fair/unfair system at hand. I mean, I guess we can agree to disagree but I hear people complain a lot about having different NPC visit them every day and now it's people that are upset that you don't have enough visits from NPC's. The game will never be tailored to all users demands.
