I’m so excited about this!! I think we’ll just get Tom Nook and Isabelle at first but I hope we can see a wider range of characters if they’re popular enough!
Stitches is literally a Build-A-Bear plushie villager, if they not gonna use this opportunity then they are insane.
Otherwise, I hope they gonna release plushies of actual villagers and not NPCs. There are already so many plush versions of Isabelle and Tom Nook out there, but barely any of the villagers. I hope for some plushies based of the 8 new villagers, since they are a nice way to also promote the game more.
i not only would, but will sell my first-born for a celeste plushie. no hypotheticals. i'll even wrap the kid up for whoever offers the plush of my dreams, fresh out the womb, decorated with little ribbons and everything.
This might not be as far fetched of an idea. BAB collaborated with Nintendo often. We purchased a few Pokemon BAB (Even comes with exclusive Pokemon cards) and I know we saw some Mario BAB. All fully licenses so you can buy accessories too. The good thing about BAB is that they don't have to be bear shaped. The Pokemon were shaped like Pokemons and not some deformed bear version of the character.
What I am trying to say is that this is a good way for Nintendo to sell some AC licensing and leave it to a company that is in the business of selling bear/plushies to do all of the leg work. These bears are not cheap either. Without coupons/deals, you're looking at $25+ for just the bear.
Fun story. I bought the Pokemon plush of Snubbull and during the stuffing process the worker had forgotten to first insert the heart plush that goes inside all the dolls.
So my Snubbull has their heart directly under their butt. Its great.
