I was rooting for Tagle to become Pope from the beginning, but…Idk, he seems too good even for that. 😭

In Ocarina of Time, I always love the animation of Young Link waking up in the beginning of the game, when Navi enters his house.

She wakes him up, he rubs his eyes, looks at her, then sits down on the edge of the bed like a good boy. It's also the only time in the entire game where Link nods his head. I'm pretty sure of it.

I also love the scene with the Deku Tree Sprout. Link is so surprised that he screams, lmao

And my other favorite scene is with Darunia, when you cheer him up by playing Saria's Song. The way Young Link slowly backs away always makes me laugh LOL

I was at work, and one of my coworkers looked up and yelled "Hey! That's my fruit rollup!!" He ran past me and I followed because I had to know what that random loud statement was... because... of course! 😆

Turns out, it was Friday, and a couple of my other coworkers were cleaning out the refrigerator/freezer and found a "red flat frozen thing" and were confused.

The shouting associate went on to share a frozen fruit roll up, with everyone snapping off a bit sized piece.

I got called away at that moment so couldn't try it!

Curious if anyone else has frozen a fruit rollup??
No but I dehydrated watermelon one time for the fun of it. So it turned into thin sticky slices like fruit-roll ups. I never expected it to go that way, but it had the texture, chewiness, and taste of one (just watermelon flavor) I froze some to keep them fresh longer. But each time I had to take it out and let it thaw cause it was super brittle. It pretty much just shattered into dust if I tried to handle it when frozen. I'd assume the same?

I've the urge to bake. Do I give in? 🤔
What do you want to bake? I have so many things I want to try I just need to find the time.

I ended up baking sultana and walnut cookies.

I was leaning towards strawberry cupcakes but didn't want to go out to buy ingredients, so just made do with what I already had in the house.

This reminded me how much I loved the cutscenes in Ocarina of Time. I had kind of forgotten since I've only played the game recently in the form of randomizers which remove cutscenes, but they're really a joy. The game takes itself seriously when it needs to, but still has plenty of lighthearted characterization of Link, and comic relief. Young Link running away from the goron group-hug after the second dungeon was a fun little moment that took a few playthroughs to stop taking me by surprise LOL

Yeah for sure 💖 even without much facial expressions, because of limited tech power at the time, Link still has lots of charm, thanks to the cutscenes.

You can see the resolve in his stance when he watches Ganondorf ride away during the confrontation at the drawbridge. In a way, you can see it in his eyes, too, but definitely in his stance. Which I think is great, as it's meant to be a significant, powerful moment in the game.

Using legendaries can sometimes make Pokemon even easier than it already is

but I sure do love Kyogre. So sometimes I finish the game with it anyways.

I just maxed all my social stats in Persona 5; now I can concentrate on my confidants and other things 🥳.

I think one of my least favorite TikTok trends is that one where people tell you to do something (that you may or may not have been about to do in the first place), and then when you do it, they’ll call you a good boy. At least it doesn’t put anyone’s lives at danger, but it’s still annoying. Especially when they go into detail and start calling you submissive or a pet. Wth. Keep your weird fetish away from me.

The worst one objectively? That’s kind of hard. I think that one where people stick metal in computer usb ports to make them explode is up there though. People are so ****ing dumb I swear.

As someone short, I have had that said to me many times in person face to face. (Head patting with it is even worse) I don't think it is necessarily a fetish, but more of a power thing tbh. Like ego related. I mean I guess it could be a fetish, but I've seen this behavior growing up towards other short people too and not just myself, before TikTok. For a fetish seems kind of common if so..
I wonder if tall people experience this in their life time or not. Or other short people outside the area I live in. (I could just live in a crappy place, but I do see it happening less now).

Calling someone submissive or their pet with the sole purpose of making them uncomfortable is definitely creepy fetish territory.

The dumbest trend that I remember spreading was the devious lick thing, I know it was a few years ago at this point but the schools I've been to in the past couple years since it happened have still not replaced most of the soap dispensers because kids would not stop stealing them. I can't tell you how many times I've had to drown my hands in hand sanitizer because there were no soap dispensers in the bathrooms.

So The Hunchback of Notre Dame may not get a live action remake. On one hand, this is a good thing. We don’t need another good movie ruined by a live action remake, and Disney needs to focus on original content than remaking the same movies. On the other hand, it shows how much Disney is afraid of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and how they’re trying to avoid it in this day. And that really isn’t fair.

Seeing someone tying their shoe, telling them to tie their shoe, and then calling them a good, submissive boy for complying sounds kind of kinky to me. I don’t think that this terminology a recent thing, but I’m sure that doing it to such a ridiculous extent is.

Yeah, that one was wild.

Fun facts about today (May 10th) before it ends:

—6 years ago, Tati Westbrook uploaded the now iconic and memeable “BYE SISTER” YouTube video. (If you know, you know.)

—2 years(?) ago, Kamala Harris gave her “You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?” speech. (She was quoting her mother.)

It sounds like Tik Tok is a little toxic.

Can you Iive without it?

Maybe this is me being an old generation, but walk away from any negative social media. There is too much life directly around you to discover organically.

Go to a park, get your finger nipped by a duck or whatever. It's more real than this **** you see online that makes you upset.
