can’t remember if i have posted about this before but this is probably the weirdest random DM i have ever received on social media.

Why do people keep releasing clothing with a white liquid effect on it? There were some Disney Mouse ears a while back. The description contained the phrase "dripping with excitement".

I just came here to say, as a future librarian who will likely publish review articles throughout my whole career, I will avoid using the word "further" in my writing as much as possible. I keep seeing the word used constantly in review articles that are required readings for my class, and it's like bruh 🤣 quit saying "further" lol. there's gotta be other words you can use, or other ways you can structure your sentence which don't require the use of the word so often.

I'm also reading an article right now that seems to be written pretty poorly. I'll give the authors credit and say that English is likely not their first language (all three writers of the article are from India), but it's not even the slightly broken English, its the way that the sentences do not flow together, and they claim that some things "suggest" other things and it makes no sense to me. I don't chalk that up to the fact that I'm dealing with a viral infection at the moment, I genuinely am so confused while reading this article lmao. I'm inclined to skip it and move on, I don't want to waste my own time.

Considering that the movie is released in the 80's (which is considered the dark age of animation) I'm not surprised that most film makers were inspired by said works. Although, this looks more like a Filmation or a Ruby-Spears work than a Hanna-Barbera one.

Speaking of, the fact that a Donkey Kong cartoon actually exists in the early 80's is so funny to me.
 
So I was thinking earlier why people wouldn’t celebrate 4th of July anymore. America did have a long history of oppression and violence, but one of the biggest reasons why people don’t celebrate Independence Day these days is because of America’s current transgressions. The biggest one was Donald Trump, but there were already other problems that made it difficult for many to celebrate July 4th (such as Roe v Wade’s reversal, the anti-woke backlashes and complaints, protests against COVID-19 lockdowns, and numerous state laws that restricted diversity education and LGBT rights). Because of everything that happened within the last five years, thanks to the rowdy groups and state governments, people are using America’s past as a reason not to celebrate 4th of July.

I agree. One of my current friends was telling me that she met up with friends of hers she hasn't met in years, and she kept saying that "all of them are bi now, why?" Like I hate to break it to you, but they didn't just wake up one day and decide "hey! Wouldn't it be so funny if I 'became' bisexual?"

It's a cartoon adaptation of Donkey Kong that is part of the "Saturday Supercade" lineup. Of course, there's also Donkey Kong Jr., Frogger, Kangaroo, Q*Bert, and Pitfall that were basically adapted into these cartoons in the cartoon lineup. (although, the jokes and dialogues at the time were pretty stiff because of budgets and the TV standards at the time in the early 80's).
 
Feeling ballsy today wearing shorts in an airplane... my knees will be freezing but I have decided to just roll with it

also I was gonna wake up at 4 AM for my flight but my anxiety said nope! I will wake you up even earlier and you will hate it. so yes now i hate my body for waking me up at 3:30 AM (I slept at around 11:30 PM and needed all the sleep I could get lmao)
 
Idk about the Snow White live-action, BUT if Disney does a Hercules live-action remake?? 🥵😍 They’re gonna bring all my big beefy boys out the woodwork! (Not necessarily AS Hercules, but you know, for the whole vibe.) Ideally, I would have Joe Hendry as Hercules (which likely wouldn’t happen) But he CAN sing, too. I also envision Matt Willig as Nessus, Jack Black as Phil, Martin Short as Hades, Alfred Molina as Zeus, Great Khali as the Cyclops, Carol Kane, Helena Bonham-Carter, and Kathy Najimy as the Fates, but no idea who anyone else should be.
