I suddenly felt like drawing a huge sketch dump of 50's, 60's and 90's cartoons right now
as a warm-up I suppose. (probably gonna finish the ones with 90's version of Secret Squirrel on it aaaa)

Sometimes looking up information about where a movie was filmed can actually hurt immersion.

Especially if it's plot related. Like, if a show is about a guy stranded on an Island and I go look up exactly where this island is, that would hurt my enjoyment. (yet I do it anyways).

“Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls” took place in a fictional African country, but it was filmed in Texas and South Carolina. 😂 That kind of ruined the fantasy, but I also found it funny.

I might have been more interested classical art in school if we studied this guy.
I remember studying “The Garden of Earthly Delights” in Art History (high school), and my teacher told me it was a popular dorm poster in the ‘70s. It does have a trippy vibe, for something painted hundreds of years ago….

I noticed that listicles in my news feed tends to have misleading titles and are poorly written. Examples (not real ones):
  • Five states that don’t allow immigrants - shows the least friendly US states for immigration, but they allow immigrants anyway
  • List of fast food chains that no longer exist - they still exist, but with fewer locations
  • Ten countries that are a waste of your money - they label certain cities as separate countries
I also got tired of news articles about different generations and what they think of others, so I used my preferences to shut them off my news feed.

Yep -- while his boxing career (and the funny fact that he named all his sons "George") made him a celebrity, after retirement he went into cooking and promoted the grill everywhere. It became so popular, that it's now officially referred to as "The George Forman". The burger-grilling legacy will live on.

A more positive random thought... I had no idea that Soundgarden covered DEVO at one point.

I mean…I did. My dad knew him from boxing, of course. R.I.P.

I've been a boxing fan since I was a kid and I was fortunate enough to watch many of George Foreman's fights including his heavyweight title winning fights against Smokin' Joe Frazier and Michael Moorer. My older brother told me that we watched(with our dad) Big George win the gold medal at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City but I was only four so I don't remember that one.Big George was the hardest hitting fighter I ever saw. Both of his hands were like sledge hammers. He was a great fighter and he came up with a gadget that could make a decent burger.I'd say he did good.

I'm in an awkward position between being super in focus bc my ADHD med is actually helping, being tired bc I didn't sleep very well last night at all, and being out of it bc I'm still kinda sick lol. I feel like I can articulate my thoughts well, and yet I can't. maybe tonight isn't a good time for me to start writing my review article for my class. 😅 I'll stick to reading and note taking for now.
