What was the most fun and memorable thing about college for me? The teachers providing a rich learning experience? Doing well in my assignments?

No. Getting together with classmates and strangers in the rec room for a couple rounds of Super Smash Bros Brawl ๐Ÿ˜‚ it was the most hype game ever at the time. Timing all of DK's Final Smash A button presses just right? Trapping the other 3 players in Ike's Great Aether? So hype lol

Considering that we haven't gotten a proper translation of Japanese media since the 4Kids era, it's like times have never changed.

Also, I just follow by the sidelines and didn't spectate directly. It's sad that the fan translators do a better job at translating Japanese media and it's for free.

Iirc another girl was hitting on the main character (also a woman), and the MC in the original responded with "but I'm a woman", which just shows that she's confused by another girl flirting with her... and then the English dub made her outright say she wasn't into women?? ๐Ÿ˜ญ like bro you didn't "fix" it, you actually made it LESS gay. what are you DOING

But yeah, translation isn't about whether or not I agree with the viewpoints a character expresses or not (which may or may not even be the same viewpoints as the writer's!!), I just want it conveyed to me as accurately as possible, so I can form my own feelings on the scene/character/story. I can't do that if I'm basically reading AU fanfic.

I'm pretty sure it's this scene in particular, It felt so out of place hearing that word in an anime. It felt more like something you would hear in the Ghost Stories dub in my opinion.

So the event is all over. Iโ€™m out of the balloon trade. Iโ€™m also out of the fruit trade. Thereโ€™s only one more thing I have left to do since I am one of the winners. But after that, Iโ€™m pretty much done with the event.
 
Isnโ€™t it ironic how warm it was before spring actually started? Now that itโ€™s officially spring, most of the time, the weather is 50ยฐ F at most, and I think itโ€™s even supposed to snow over spring break. Which is the second week in April for us. Hopefully that doesnโ€™t happen.
