Military time on the digital clock?

I purchased a digital clock item from my friend who's in Europe, and I assume her switch was set to military time, because that's what the clock is showing right now.

Is there a way to change this to the AM/PM system? Or is this because I purchased it from someone in another region? Can I order a digital clock on my catalog and have it be in the AM/PM system?

As far as I remember, some items are just in military/24h time, vs others are just in 12h time. I think if it had to do with your friend's settings, it would have changed once you brought it home. It's probably just like that--sorry I know that isn't super helpful.
