Merengue or Diana?

Who do you prefer?
Just out of curiosity. I'm leaving my own post pretty simple to avoid my own bias-ness lol.
But pls share your thoughts!

Diana is cute, but Merengue is truly one of a kind. I’d trade her for any villager I have (even Whitney)

Diana is my favourite villager so I'm a little biased here... she's elegant, refined, and mystical. She fits the snooty personality exceptionally well.

She is also inspired by my favourite Roman goddess (also named Diana), the goddess of the hunt and the moon. There's a myth that a huntsman found Diana bathing in the woods with her nymphs, and as punishment, she turned him into a deer. Diana's house having a bathhouse theme is also a direct reflection of this myth. I just love that attention to detail.

Neither are villagers that I would put on my favourites list, they are pretty 'meh' to me. I've had both for short amounts of time on nl and seen them on nh so my opinion is unbiased for the most part. Merengue has the shortcake theme going for her but I think Diana has the slight edge imo, she has a more unique design and a lovely house.

I really am neutral on both and probably wouldn't have either of them. There's way more normal villagers I like more than Merengue where there's not as many snooty villagers I like more than Diana so my vote is for Diana. Plus I love all the deer!

Definitely Diana. But that's biased because I have her on my island. But she's so pretty and elegant and she gives me the nicest compliments on my clothes

definitely merengue! i just love her dessert theme (two words: strawberry horn) and how sweet she is! i really like diana as well, but tbh i'm not a big fan of her eyes/expression

Diana, her colors are very soothing. The pastel makes it appealing to the eyes, while merengue is too flashy for my taste. Also, diana was in my new leaf town, so I might be a bit biased.

I love them both, but voted Diana.

I think Merengue being a rhino and still so popular says a lot about how unique and awesome her design is.

I have both but 100% Diana! She’s so elegant and I love her colors! But Merengue is very original in design (strawberry horn!!). Also, I TT a lot back to 5am and Merengue, as a normal type, is already up at that time and she’s ALWAYS interrupts my terraforming so I get very frustrated with her as well hahahaha.

I voted Merengue since I had (well, have, she hasn't moved out afaik) her in my New Leaf town and she was nice. Liked her design, definitely unique from what I remember.

I have both <3 they are both cute. I think I prefer Diana a bit more, especially her color scheme. Merengue clothes stretches a bit... T^T

I had Merengue and never had Diana.

Merengue has an amazing design as a character. I objectively would say more than Diana.

That being said Normal personality in this game is... hm... really "normal" haha. Average. I found myself almost bored at times with their dialogue.

Personality of Snooty + Diana's design I lean on Diana if I had to have a villager. But that would depend on who were my other villagers.

Have had neither, would probably never get either, so my vote went to Merengue based purely on impressions - she's cuter, she's more unique looking. I feel like Diana's as popular as she is mostly because she's a pastel-friendly snooty. Though I guess now people have another option in Judy lol. But I get that Diana is more sophisticated looking
