Meaning behind your town name?

There's an island in Massachusetts named 'Moon Island' and I thought it sounded really pretty so I just changed it to 'Moon Bay' and used it as mine.

I wanted to name my town "Strawberry," but since it didn't fit in the slots allowed, I named it the Japanese equivalent, "Ichigo." My mayor's name is Tiki, so the theme corresponds to my professional art business name, "Strawberry Tiki."

I'm from Chicago and everyone calls it "Chi-town" (which I don't really like) but I wanted to find a way to tie Chicago into my ACNL town name. Well, Kanye West had a song called "Homecoming" which was all about Chicago, and he kept calling it "Chi-city" which I liked a lot better. So that's why my town is called Chicity, in honor of my hometown

And for the record, I'm not a big fan of Kanye, but I do love that one song.

My sister's nickname is 'kibi' (weird I know...), we began to play together and I never erased my town so I have to keep this awful name xD But Kibicity sounds cute to me... In a way... I don't care if other people think it's lame, it's just a private family joke.
For my second town, BourgVœu, I wanted something that reminded of wishes, dreams or stars so I came up with this name. It literally means 'WishTown' (vœu = wish and bourg = town) in French.

I wish I would have put more thought into my town name. Haha! I was just so excited, we went to the midnight release and I was just so excited to get started on it. I had a poultry magazine sitting on my end table with an Emden goose on the cover so I named my town Goosey. Yikes...

I wish we could have longer town names too :c I had a good idea for my town but I needed just one more letter slot left ;-;

I chose PinkPaws because my favorite color is pink, paws are cute and represent animals in animal crossing/cat paws, and its a alliteration so it flows ^^ I just wanted something cute and simple

The meaning behind my town name is pretty complex ... my favorite color is red. lol
Seriously though I wanted a simple name with "Town" in it preferably, but Shark Town wouldn't fit so I had to go with Red Town. I think I've come to like it better over time anyway. (Shark Town is a fictional place in one of my stories eheh)
