(Aplogies if a thread like this was already made)

What's the meaning behind your town name? Whether it be from a show/movie, game, or you just thought it sounded awesome.
My town name is Lilycove because of Pokemon :D
Share your town name meanings below! c:

i got agrestic from the show weeds, lol
coincidentally the word agrestic means rustic, rural which is the theme i was planning on going for c:

My town is named Estia. I dropped the H from the Greek goddess "Hestia" who is the goddess of the hearth, domesticity, home, etc...
It seemed fitting because it's "home" for my mayor and villagers :)

My original town name was MewTown... I reset recently due to many things including the name. Now my town is called Delfino after my favorite mario game, Super Mario Sunshine.

Baker is from Sherlock Holmes' famous address of 221B Baker Street~

I'm so obvious and it's so much less thought than I could have put into it. :') But it's a cute name!

Moonside was something I randomly came up with, and Shenkuu, the place you can go to on Neopets.

Celadon: My favorite Pokemon city
Floralia: Setting of Kirby Triple Deluxe
Myst: I was originally going to name the town mystery, but I decided myst sounded nicer. Plus I think a video game is named Myst. :P

I named my town Savannah, I was actually headed there for the beginning of my family vacation last year and it sounded nice. Love the City <3

My town of Odaiba was named after a large artifical island in Japan.
But most people know the city, because that's the real world setting in Digimon Adventure and 02.

I used to play World of Warcraft on a server called Eonar.

So, E'nar is just Eonar without the "o".

I legit read your first line and was like "omg Digimon!" lol

My older sister named our town Landover when we first played the gamecube version. It just kinda stuck.
When I first got new leaf, I tried a different name. It bothered me so much after a while that I restarted and named it Landover again haha.

I love Sims games... both Sims 2 and 3 xD Sunset Valley is one of the town/city's name in Sims series. C:
So I named my first town Sunset. (couldn't put Sunset Valley, it was too long D: )
And second town is Dawn, it goes with Sunset. It was actually other TBT user's idea, I forgot who.. xD someone suggested it and I really liked it, so yeah C:

(I saw your VM earlier btw so I'm responding to your thread about the town name! haha)
