Mannequins?

I've definitely seen them in the game on multiple different trade trips. How do you obtain these?

I wasn't aware that mannequins were in the game yet but I have seen people just displaying clothes outside behind stalls to act as "people". I assume when it's in the game it'll be similar to NL where your friendship is high enough with the Able Sisters + Gracie they'll give it to you?

i dont think there are actual mannequin items yet actually. i know you can display shirts and dresses, but it's not a mannequin. i hope im wrong or at the very least i hope they bring them back this year with one of the updates! but to my knowledge they dont exist as an item for us yet

I miss the mannequins. I had all four in NL and would lay out my clothing for each day. Because, of course I'm changing my outfit every day!

Yeps, if you select display them instead of drop them or wear them, it'll be displayed on a mannequins type design. Similar to the ones you see in Able Sisters. You can also do the same with hats/eye wear.

But how are they displaying them outside? When I’m outside, the only options I get for my clothes are “wear item” or “drop item”.

There is an option to place item. You have to make sure you're in an area where you can actually place them

Oh, ok, I will try it again. I’ve been standing on just plain grass though, but haven’t gotten the option.

I think they mean displaying designs. Some use it as a way to control rock spawns and can be cleared away easily.
