lsland Hopping is Hard

i can't afford another normal sadly
goldie and marina are already too much along with 3 other duplicates of different personalities
I’m trying so hard not to have a million cranky villagers, they’re my favourite, especially since Wolfgang told my second character that he practices shooting people off his lawn. Very family friendly.

I just found cyd omg wrong newbie
I’ve been searching for 7 hours today :’( gotta love rng

I don't really island hop, but I think that the campsite method basically does what island hopping does without the cost of NMT. I'd look into that if I were you.

imo whats the rush? i would say finish the tickets you have and if nobody you like shows up, wait for the game to give you a villager. it might surprise you?

dang, how do you even get that many NMT? 😳 i would have given up by my 3rd ticket but you guys are persistent

I have been to over 450 islands. I have only ever found 1 of my 9 dreamies... and that was early on in my venture (50ish tickets?)
Once sitting I did 120 tickets... took me over 10hrs. @.@ Not even any of my runner up (5) dreamies showed up either...
I've given up on finding them on islands.
(i know about the campsite method, i don't TT tho so it will literally take me just as long as island hunting)

They are still interesting to hop on.
Last time I got a duplicate in 5 islands which was pretty disheartening.

When I briefly went island hopping early on in my game, I only went in with the mindset that they had to be cute or at least average by my own standards. I just didn't want no "uggo" moving in. I didn't go in looking for dreamies. Too risky.

I'm most likely going to buy the amiibo cards for my absolute dreamies, as they are all rather unpopular, anyway. I couldn't even imagine going island hopping; the last time I tried, I gave in on the fourth island for Lobo.

I stopped island hopping after spending 350+ tickets. Too much RNG for the unluckiest person in the universe lol.

agreed. island hopping is fun for me but it quickly loses its charm after the 10th island lmao

Island hopping is definitely not a very fun experience I've found if you're dead set on one particular villager. It is best to stop early at someone you want to live with, than to pass up someone and have a lot of regrets later. For example, I deeply regret passing up Vlad on the hunt for a new jock villager. I should've just taken Vlad and come back to the missing jock problem later. I spent 96 NMT that day and left with Tybalt at the end. Not bad, but now I don't have Vlad and I only kind-of like Tybalt.

Sometimes I think that no choice at all was less stressful than the ability to choose.

i did get nice diys tho. snatched up a gold wall and stone lion dog statue, so i like it for that too

i savwd yp
My problem is I find too many dreamies and I feel sad leaving them all behind.

I'll come back for you Merengue...
i passed up merengue i have regrets

I know how you feel. I decided I'm not going to go island hopping with the intention of only inviting certain villagers cause it's too stressful. Last time I went I met a cute mouse named Bettina that I liked but passed on cause I was after certain villagers only. I didn't find who I wanted and I have regretted letting her go ever since. Paula is moving out and I will be island hopping again(because I didn't find who I wanted last time I got a voided villager). This time I'm gonna go and if I'm lucky enough to find who I really want great but if I find someone else I like I won't pass on them. I would suggest you keep an eye on the new neighbor network forum cause you may find who you are looking for there. Good luck
