I moved out Wendy yesterday and I was picking up Lolly, my last dreamie, when she wouldn't move in. As it turns out I picked up a villager from the person who came to pick up Wendy... I'm so upset...

I've read that the last villager to move in never asks to move out... is this really true? If so I'm beyond upset. There's no one else I am willing to let go...

It's been my personal experience that the last in isn't the next to ask, but others have said otherwise.

Sorry to hear about Lolly... Seems she's always giving people fits when they try to get her to move in.

Oh my gosh, URGHH!! That is infuriating!! The person who adopted Wendy didn't clear their void! You always have to make SURE they do that before they come to adopt. I am so, so sorry. This has happened to me in the past and it is just the worst. I feel awful for you, sweetie. I know exactly how defeated this leaves you feeling. Hugs.

And you know, it's my fault because I always ask if their void is clear and for some stupid reason it didn't dawn on me to ask this time! And she ruined a really nice forest spot I had with Jacob's ladders, purple pansies and clovers I had... I'm so upset, it sounds dramatic but I was really looking forward to moving Lolly in today and now my day is ruined...

So I'll have to get rid of someone....

I would at least try to get her out... There's always the possibility they'll ask to move. If not, move someone out, and once you get your last undesired villager out, just auto-void them. I know it's kinda sad to have to do, but it's better than getting another uninvited villager ruining your village. Sorry that has happened to you, I know how it feels. :(

//SIGH// I'll give it a try. Here's to hoping! I feel bad just autovoiding, but you're right... at least I don't run the risk of this happening. It's crazy, in all the time I've been playing this has never happened before until now that I was basically done getting dreamies ( ._.)

Don't beat yourself up. We ALL forget to ask sometimes. This week I was trying to get a new map and I finally managed to get THE perfect map.. and I gave my character the WRONG face. So I had to delete. We all have the occasional brain-fart.

That must suck! But I know there is a way to move out the 10th villager, I have done it countless times before, and it only takes a little under or over an hour of your time. I would say just ignore the villager at all costs. If there's a gift to send to them, don't. When they ping you to move, don't answer. Just don't talk to them at all, and they will move.

TT every two days and talk to all the villagers you want to keep, and ignore the ones you don't, and they will move out in two TTed weeks or more, or less.

I hope you get Lolly! Good luck!

So from experience in all of my previous secondary towns, the last person to move in WILL ask to move out...if you become friends with them. Villagers are more likely to ask to move out if you become friends, even best friends, with them. So don't worry, just give it time, talk to them every day, and they'll eventually ask to move out.

Ugh, That happen to me last year with Dotty, someone adopted her and I ended up getting Avery from their void!
I had to let Filbert move to get rid of him:mad:

I did have this problem with two of my villagers being the tenth and eventually they did indeed move. They wouldn't budge, but then I befriended them BIG time: gifts, visits, full court press and within three days managed to get them out. Ignoring them didn't work for me, but HAS indeed worked for others.

You have to be careful with voids, Whenever I have 9 villagers I always ask the person wanting to come over if they have a clear void, if they say "I don't know." I ask them to visit someone with 10 villagers first. I'm sorry to hear about your villager issues and no, the last to move in won't stay forever, theres no such thing as permanit villagers. They'll ask to leave eventually, there are some guides online to help move a villager out ASAP, so I went ahead and got some for you! I hope this helps you!

Remember to clear your void, I had Julian once from someone's void before.

I will give both a try when I get home- If ignoring her doesn't work I will try befriending the heck out of her too!!
I'll get her out somehow!!

Thank you so much for looking that up for me!! T^T I'm going to read through all three and try them all. One is bound to work!

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I was really upset, mostly at my own stupidity, because I know I should have asked and I managed to get Lolly for free too.. such a waste! T^T But reading all of these comments has made me feel a lot better. I am determined to get rid of Winnie one way or another! Lol.

You can't clear your void. It wouldn't have mattered.

I've cleared my void before and helped others clear theirs. I'm almost positive it does work ( ._.)

This happened a couple weeks ago when I was trying to get Yuka. Peck from someones void moved into my town and I couldnt end up picking her up >.> so frustrating

I hope the solutions people gave you work. For me I had to get rid of a dreamie for the tenth villager to move out because otherwise she wouldn't move out but I am not expert. I say I was pretty lucky with my dreamies and never got problems like these. I hope you find a solution if not I bet Lolly will wait all the time in the world for you don't worry chances always appear when you search for them. I also have a town you can use to clear someone void if necessary the next time you get a space. If you ever need my help I'm here.

It doesn't. There are plenty of instance where you can see other people who "cleared" it and still got villagers. If you didn't get one it's because of luck and random generating.

THANK YOUUUUUUU ♡♡ T^T I'm still bummed but I'm getting home now so I'm going to start trying

Villagers asking to move is completely random regardless of how long they have been there. I hope you get lucky and your new, unwanted villager will be the first to ping and "be gone" !!
