...I WANT to say no. Like, I'm not the type of person to like something just because it's popular... but I'm also not the type of person to dislike something just 'cause it's popular. And I like cats in general. And Raymod is ADORABLE. His eye shape + color(s) (they NEED more villagers with heterochromia!), his fur color, his little tuft of hair... all super cute. I'd definitely love to get him on my island!

I think he's overrated and that his heterochromia eyes is what put him on top of the popularity list. Aside from that, I can't see what else he's got going for him. But don't let my opinion stop you from wanting him if that's the plan.

I already have him! He is super sweet and cute, but there are definitely other villagers that should be as popular

I like his design and I love cats; I don't have him yet though. I haven’t been paying attention to who is popular & who is not and why, and honestly, I don’t think I ever have paid attention to it while playing NL. I like things (not just villagers or games, but anything at all) because of my personal preference and not because everyone else likes it.

I can’t say he’s worth the hype when I haven’t been paying attention to why other people like him, to answer your poll question. But, I will say that I’m willing to invest quiet a bit in him if needed, to get him in my town.

Tbh I think he's a good smug but overhyped, VERY overhyped.

Smugs are as lacking as uchi but people don't realize it because the smug personality has two ultra popular characters (Marshal is my favorite idc what you say)

I'm just meh about all this commotion within the fandom. I have Raymond in my town because he was my first campsite visitor and my personal experience with him has been pleasant ever since. I like him because of who he is. As that one option you could choose during a discussion between your villagers, "forget about that noise." If you do end up liking Raymond because of him and not because you want to jump on a bandwagon, good for you!

I also want to say that I do feel bad for Raymond sometimes. He didn't choose to be popular, a lot of people did. And because of this, so many people were selling him for high prices. If you think about it, it's kinda sad you're treating Raymond as monetary value and not as a living being. I know he's just composed of polygons, but doesn't that speak volumes of what you do? Also, hate art. I just... Why would you spend time doing that?!?

I like Raymond. I was initially interested in him when they showed teasers of new villagers because he gives me Kuro from Haikyuu vibes LOLOL. And I loveeeee Haikyuu. Anyways, he is one of my villagers and one of my favorites on my island; however, I voted for someone else should get the hype and that is none other than Dom~~~Chachamaru<3 I know Dom is quite liked, but I feel like he deserves more love...just look at his face XD how can his eyes that seem to always be on the verge of crying not pierce your hearts into loving him ❤

i mean, he’s got a very cool design and he’s very cute and isn’t a bad villager at all, but besides from having an unique design, i’ve never quite understood the hype for him. i have nothing against those who like him and/or have him but he’s just never been one of my personal favourites aha ;u;

OMFG I THINK DOM SHOULD GET IT TOO! His facial expressions are life!! I feel like he would be more loved if he was the lazy or smug personality. People don't seem to like the Jocks. But I love him either wayyyy <3

Yayyy~~~~! Another person who appreciates and love Dom as much as I do<3 Yeah, I feel like the jock aspect is making people not want to give him a try but he is the funniest jock I have come across. He NEVER exercises. I haven't seen him lift a dumbell once since release of the game (he is my starter jock). He dances sometimes LOL, but he mostly plays and eat donuts and drink sodas. When I catch him sitting under trees he tells me he is crunching his abs, but we all know it's a lie Dom LOL. But that's what I love about him. He is funny and cute XD

omg so luucky! On my two save files I reset at least 10 times until I got tired of it and settled on Lyman and Rudy. I was sad, but I can always get him here Also yeah my friends have him and I come to their island all the time. He is always eating a donut or chilling on a bench

Raymond really isn't my thing, honestly. If I had him on my permanent roster I'd probably stick him next to RS as an accountant or something, because he doesn't really look like he has a home, and his theme doesn't work into anything else.

He’s pretty cool, but I feel guilty for having him in my town sometimes because he is overrated, but he was

I'm not the type of person to want him for popularity, he's genuinely a dreamy. I have him, and he's staying. You shouldn't give hate to villagers just because they are overrated, try them out, then say what you think. I'm done talking now lol.
