I recently accidentally voided a dreamie of mine, and am cycling as fast as I can to get them back. However, it's tedious and annoying. Is it really worth it to go through 16 villagers? I'm thinking of just forgetting it and replacing them.
More information- It isn't an absolute dreamie, but it is a cat villager and is the only design I like of their personality.

I say go for it! I lost Lucky and Mathilda that way, and while I'm finished for Mathilda, I still need to go for Lucky. It can be a bit tedious with loads of villagers you want to keep, though. I'm currently cycling with only two slots I can switch between. Takes forever, but it will be awesome at the end :)

I would say no. When I lost Molly from my new town, I was so unhappy that I restarted my town that I'd had for over a year, just so I could get her back. But when I finally got her in my new town, she just wasn't the same. I know the villagers have specific personalities and set phrases and such depending on those personalities, but the new Molly just didn't feel like my Molly, and I ended up letting her go, because she just wan't the same... So in my experience I would say no, just accept your losses and try out some new villagers for your town!

It really depends on how you feel about a particular dreamie. Are they your absolute dreamie or could they be replaced with another.

When I lost Jay I vowed I would do what ever it took to get him back. As I went through the 16 villager process my town became a train wreck because I didn't bother resetting every time a villager moved in. I now have Jay back, the 16 villager cycling process was a royal pain in the ass but I would do it again if I lost another villager I consider a dreamie.

I don't think so at all. If I were you, I'd either restart or find someone to replace them.

any dreamie i've lost i've just replaced (i'm the best mayor) however i've only ever accidentally lost jocks and i've literally ran out of any cute ones, i have sheldon moving in who seems cute but i thought that about bam at first, so i'm thinking of actually cycling another 12 for genji eventually, it's gonna be a long long process though

Fo me: definitely! I'm currently half way through cycling back my two dreamie Wolves, and since they are my faves number 1 (Chief) and number 3 (Skye) it's 100% worth me going through the hassle!

Honestly the less dreamies you already have in your town the better, I also don't have Diana yet so I have three spaces to work with, and I also don't have a campsite so I'm cycling solely with villagers I've adopted/bought on this forum, but I take it pretty chill and give myself time to enjoy each villager I adopt before letting them go, so it isn't nearly as stressful, plus I have someone holding my wolves for me so that helps make it easier haha!

However if the villager isn't a dreamie you can't live without, it might be easier to adopt another villager in their place. I find visiting villagers I'm somewhat interested in in dreams and checking out posts of them on tumblr (tip: search 'ac-villager name' to find a lot of posts for a particular villager!) and this way I found Flora (now a dreamie) and a couple of Peppies I've recently had in my town that I really enjoyed more than I thought I would!

Phew that was long, anyway it's a subject I'm passionate about as you can see, and good luck with whatever you decide

I think it is! I lost my favorite villager, Lobo, while I'd been too busy to play (college is rough jc). I've been very slowly and casually cycling to get him back with only three open slots, but I've really enjoyed it so far! It's fun getting to meet lots of new villagers, and I've had a blast giving people tier one villagers over Streetpass. ^^ I don't know about speed cycling, but I'm going to try it out this weekend, I think, just to finally get the cycle over with.

I really love the villager I'm cycling for, so IMO it's worth it!

sometimes it is, really depends on how attached you are to the person that left. for me, if ankha or poppy left, i'd cycle. but if marshal or rosie did, i'd replace them.
