Wasted an hour terraforming a river and it came out like trash so I had to fix it, which took 2 hours.
I've had similar terraforming experiences. Rough!
i made the mistake of placing all my buildings without any real planning. Now I'm spending tons of bells every day to relocate them
I feel ya. Been doing that myself for a while now. I am still trying to figure it out!
I had to relocate my house twice because I didn't realize that stairs/ inclines don't match up to the doorway.
So I was all excited to finally put my house in the cliffs to only have to put it back where it originally sat.

I have way too many flowers.. every animal crossing game I have played I always focused on making hybrids. I now have so many flowers (both hybrids & normals) that it's going to be such a pain to clear out everything and time consuming to sell the majority of the flowers (which hasn't been successful). I have so many variants but others are selling them like crazy so no one wants to buy them.. i feel like lots of people are having this issue with NH..

Me too! I time traveled for so long to move all my houses. I had to align then so I put fish next to them so they would all be exactly the same, I'm too lazy to take the fish off so if you ever go to my town don't ask.i made the mistake of placing all my buildings without any real planning. It's sad because in NL taking out a tool made it disappear from your inventory.
I bit the bullet and decided to do some time traveling this weekend. This was strictly about removing a villager, not financial gain and not something I intend to do again.
I got Lionel to move, but I made the mistake of time traveling again and a random villager moved in. It was a real face palm moment.
However, that random villager was Gwen, the Snooty penguin. It didn't register right away, but after a few minutes with being disgusted by my TT fail, I realized she was a villager in my old NL game, so it seems like fate that she showed up in NH.

Same thing happened to me but a little different, Instead I literally had just got the game and I happened to get Agnes who is in my NL town and moved out of it a few days later. So Agnes left my town to go to my island. (We sure can't blame her)

I thought flower hybrids would work the same in this game, so when I visited hybrid lily island early in the game, (and hybird windflower island) I decided to only grab 2 of each hybrid b/c I wanted to use the rest of my inventory for resources. I thought, "okay, if I only water these, I can guarantee myself at least 5 hybrids from these specific flowers a day," I didn't realize how rare these islands were and how long growing hybrids would take. Since I had gotten hybrid lily island and hybrid windflower island really early on and near to each other (and since I got hybrid windflower island two more times after that), I just assumed they were common, but a little less common than the other islands I was seeing. Maybe I could go back and get some later when I didn't need as many resources). It's a good thing I'm not really using lilies for decorating, but back when I only really had access to those flowers, it was annoying not seeing many hybrids every day.

I moved my house across the river with no bridge (pole vaulted). I then pole vaulted back to the main island. I was busy and I left the pole on the ground. Then I saved and quit and then later I realized that when I log back on I will be at my house with no way to get to the main island.
I then remembered I had a ladder in my storage. I used that to go to the 2nd level and the long way around.
Note to self: have extra tools in storage.

i moved my museum to the spot where i wanted it on my 3rd level.. wanted to put multiple inclines leading up to it, only to realize my inclines would not be lined up with the museum entrance and it was one "square" off.. so i moved the museum somewhere else for a day and intended to move it back only to realize IT WOULDN'T LET ME move it one tile over anyways.. so then i moved it back to where it originally was and worked out the incline problem with a bit of terraforming... but 100k wasted whew.
also most recently accidentally gave eunice my stack of customization kits when i was trying to gift her a flower wreath
