How did you get rich in NMT?

I run a shop, so I've made about 1000 NMTs!!

I had a lot of NMTs from tips (mostly from this - people are so nice and generous lol) and selling some items on discord! I only collected NMTs because I wanted to buy mom items, but now that I’ve completed the collection, not sure what to do with my excess

you can go island hopping, sell them for tbt/igb or maybe even a giveaway xD

I have something like 60 NMT currently and 25m IGB right now (I think? Not really sure of the exact numbers, but it's somewhere around there.)

The hardest part is really just getting started. The house debt is somewhat expensive (~5-6m if I remember correctly). Investing in the stalk market is a very fast way to get money, but it's hard to invest in the stalk market if you don't have any bells to spend in the first place. Once you get past the house debt barrier + being completely broke barrier that the game puts you behind at the very beginning, making large amounts of bells isn't hard, which can be easily exchanged for NMT. NMTs are becoming even easier to come by now, because the NMT : IGB ratio has been dropping like mad recently.

Yeah, things like the campsite method have made NMT a lot less valuable, in addition to people starting to find their dreamies. Amiibos are already pushing villager prices down, so NMT don't hold that much value unless you're trying to get Raymond.

If a Raymond amiibo comes out, I fully expect NMT prices to drop through the floor. NMT prices are already very low as they are, especially if you're trying to buy with TBT.

I have over 100 I've just saved up from Nook Miles points tbh!! I play the game pretty regularly and they add up quickly with the amount of tasks I do per day. Selling some furniture and such help as well.

I got 50 through just playing the game and doing the daily tasks. Sold them all, now I'm back up to about 30 which I'm saving in the hopes of getting my dream villagers.

Trades, sold Posters, DIYs, furniture sets, also I have a Southern hemisphere island and would charge people 1 NMT for a couple hours for bugs, fish, acorns, and pine cones. NMT and TBT seem to be the main currency on this forum.
