If home tutor counts, I still went to public school but I needed a tutor to help me with the test I was having. Unfortunately he turned out to be dodgy as every time I got a question wrong, He slapped me.

Isn't that child abuse? I would've just told a cop.

Ouch, Josh Dx

I'm really stupid, I never knew in Texas you can start homeschooling whenever you want D:

I'm wanting to start in like.. 2 weeks, but my mom said it might be more, we don't have the money for the books.

Public school doesn't have the kind of schoolwork I've had my whole life, abeka, so it's kinda hard for me imo. (Abeka is Christian schoolwork yaknow).

Can you afford it btw? You have to pay for books etc. on top of the taxes (since the government forces you to pay for their school whether you use it or not).

Public school or private school?

Public - yes

Private - nyeh. I can go to this very cheap one, though my mom denys it.

Homeschooling has never been an option for me, both my parents work...Maybe during primary school (they didn't teach Science, ICT or Drama where I went, it was a crap school) but now I'm at secondary school I'm getting a good education (Better than most private and grammar schools statistically) and I get taught Science and ICT now. (Dropped Drama, pointless GCSE)
I don't think I'd like being taught at home, I wouldn't see my friends.

Neither: homeschooling

Haha, oh xD

Yeah, we can afford it. But it might take a while to pay for all of the books. Mostly the answer key books (ohlord).

There is really only one reason I am glad I went to public school. It helped me learn to deal with the people I will probably have to deal with in the real world. That is not to say you won't have interactions with people when home schooled, but in a public school you are forced to interact with people you otherwise wouldn't. The kind of people who just aren't like you, and sometimes quite honestly disturb you. This can be seen as a bad thing I suppose as well, but for me I am glad I had some bad experiences in school, because I learned from them.

One of my school sayings is "You learn from your mistakes."

I think that's why I wanted to leave my school and be homeschooled. The people around me who were disturbing to others were my friends, but they weren't really like.. bad or anything. These other people around me were doing really bad stuff though, and I didn't want to get into that. By bad, I mean drugs.

if I was homeschooled or sent to a private school, i would be a robot/soulless person. imo.

i could care less about what i learned in public school, because i didn't learn anything, really. the internet is right here. why bother paying for education, outside of college/something that will matter later, in life?

math and how to write/read and some science is great, but i doubt i'll need history unless i choose to base my career off of something that is related to that, or i want to/am interested in it, personally.

in the latter case, internet.

What's so wrong with private school?

xD Naah, I think he might have the wrong idea.

I actually think private school isn't too diffrent from public school.

Except you have to wear a uniform. And, some private schools are religious, that another reason I love them. donttakethewrongway

and no buses. I used to live 40 minutes away from my old school B)

lol @ david

@ private school, the reason i said i would be soulless/a robot is simply because of the emphasis on learning. which is what school's about, ironically.

school to me = lolololololol

what school should be = learning

So being smart makes you soulless? In 4th grade we were using a 6th grade History Textbook. It was super easy for some reason. I think public school work is more hard, though. Private school lets you relax, but you still learn a lot.

imo

1. Private
2. Homeschooling
3. Public

I've done all three and that's the order of my favorites.

no, and i think i forgot why i said it in last post

i would be soulless/a robot. as in, i wouldn't have any real emotions, beyond maybe being happy i got a good grade. only because of my own personality, before getting to middle/high school.

and public school is way dumbed down so that everyone can graduate, which is why i got to coast through it and more or less not care about anything. in private school, i would have either failed horribly for acting that way, or never have acted that way in the first place, hence being soulless.

why do you think public school work is more hard? I felt i was just a bunch of pointless busywork, after so long. with the exception of some of algebra 2 and pre-cal. and physics 2 = oh god what is this do i even
