Awww thank you!!!
Aw thank you! I'm glad I could inspire you to try again!I am glad to hear your getting some sunny days so you can start planting. I love hearing about your process of getting it ready . So very inspiring and helpful.
It’s been a few years since I had a veggies garden. This time is definitely going better but I worry about going away and then drying out.
One idea I am not sure on is- we have a canopy in the garage. I will wondering if I placed that over them to shield from direct sun would that be helpful? I don’t think we are supposed to get rain, unfortunately we don’t have a working sprinkler system but don’t want them to dry out in the rain. So I thought ok as bring them might be better then the small pots they are in?
the tricky thing is going on vacation far away when you don't have a watering system set up. It's something I don't either. And one day I will figure something out long term. I am planning to make a rain-catch system so when the summer thunderstorms come I can collect the downpour.
Anything you try that could help them is a good idea. A canopy to keep the harsh heat where you're from is a good idea. Are they already planted or still in their pots? If they're planted already you could give them a very good watering before you leave. If it won't rain and depending on the temperature you could do that and it will help.
Do you have a family member or neighbor you could rely on? You could ask them to water it every morning or evening when you're away. And maybe give them a little thank you from your vacation. There's a lot you can do, but short notice mostly give it a good watering, ask someone, and hope for the best. The canopy is a good idea as long as it's secure. You don't want it blowing or falling off and hurting your plants.
Definitely keep both of us updated!Your welcome and thanks again.
Yea I need to come up with a better solution for water at some point. Yea I was hoping it would help give them a little shade . They are now planted since I was worried about them being in cups and drying out too fast.
Yea we plan to give them a good watering before we leave. I didn’t know this morning that my mom asked a friend to come water in the both the flowers and veggies while we are gone so hopefully that will help to. Thanks so much for the advice. Definitely going to hope for the best. Will let you know how they do.
Thanks so much![]()
I do, for sure! I love the Stardew Valley soundtrack, too! Listening to them while reading your posts was really immersive and relaxingAwww thank you!!!I did so much more today, but I'm honestly too exhausted to make a post about it. So I'll aim for tomorrow! I was determined to do this before I thought about making it into a blog. Then thought it would be a fun to share it with everyone here and write each post like a day at Pelican Town. I've been having just as much fun creating all the little things for the posts. I don't know if anyone actually listens to the ost clips I share, but it's so relaxing listening to them as I write it all out
I love the music!
When I read the one egg hunt clue I was like woah wait a minute. That's me!I'm going to try my best are recreating some of the recipes from the game when everything is ready to pick. And so much more. I expanded this more than I thought I would, but I'm having too much fun lol.
Have a lovely night
