Isn't that child abuse? I would've just told a cop.Josh. said:If home tutor counts, I still went to public school but I needed a tutor to help me with the test I was having. Unfortunately he turned out to be dodgy as every time I got a question wrong, He slapped me.

Public school or private school?Jeremy said:Can you afford it btw? You have to pay for books etc. on top of the taxes (since the government forces you to pay for their school whether you use it or not).
Neither: homeschoolingLisamilitz said:Public school or private school?Jeremy said:Can you afford it btw? You have to pay for books etc. on top of the taxes (since the government forces you to pay for their school whether you use it or not).
Public - yes
Private - nyeh. I can go to this very cheap one, though my mom denys it.

One of my school sayings is "You learn from your mistakes."Sporge27 said:There is really only one reason I am glad I went to public school. It helped me learn to deal with the people I will probably have to deal with in the real world. That is not to say you won't have interactions with people when home schooled, but in a public school you are forced to interact with people you otherwise wouldn't. The kind of people who just aren't like you, and sometimes quite honestly disturb you. This can be seen as a bad thing I suppose as well, but for me I am glad I had some bad experiences in school, because I learned from them.
What's so wrong with private school?Psychonaut said:if I was homeschooled or sent to a private school, i would be a robot/soulless person. imo.
i could care less about what i learned in public school, because i didn't learn anything, really. the internet is right here. why bother paying for education, outside of college/something that will matter later, in life?
math and how to write/read and some science is great, but i doubt i'll need history unless i choose to base my career off of something that is related to that, or i want to/am interested in it, personally.
in the latter case, internet.

So being smart makes you soulless? In 4th grade we were using a 6th grade History Textbook. It was super easy for some reason. I think public school work is more hard, though. Private school lets you relax, but you still learn a lot.Psychonaut said:lol @ davidDavid said:Nothing, he's just ignorant.Lisamilitz said:What's so wrong with private school?Psychonaut said:if I was homeschooled or sent to a private school, i would be a robot/soulless person. imo.

@ private school, the reason i said i would be soulless/a robot is simply because of the emphasis on learning. which is what school's about, ironically.
school to me = lolololololol
what school should be = learning
