Has anyone ever made fun of you for playing Animal Crossing?

I thought I would.

I was playing it at school and I saw a teacher come in. He asked "what game are you playing?"
And I meekly said "Animal Crossing". He then replies "Oh! I play too! I'll bring my 3DS also so we can stress pass."

XD So, yeahhhhh. None of my students play though, I don't get anyone! Unless they're all being good and actually don't bring electronics to school. XD

My older brother does lol.
He says that since I am 20 years old already, I should stop playing a game that I played as a 10 year old.
I can't help it that all my child hood games grew up with me xD (Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Legend of Zelda, Pok?mon).

The only one who I think knows that I play AC around here is my husband. I street pass with lots of random Japanese people while walking around Tokyo, but it's not like I know them or anything.

People at work know I'm a gamer, but not many people at work play video games and I'm not really a social person anyway. I just don't talk to them about it.

I once was walking home with my mom , I had my console in my hands on sleep mode. A girl saw a green background on the Game Card and said " Hey is that Animal Crossing?". I said yes and she smiled at me and said " I play to!".

My boyfriend makes fun of me all the time, but more towards the fact that I like video games in general.

Yeah, a couple of my friends have. Fortunately for me it's not really too bad, because we are friends, but he keeps saying it's a children's game, or that it's made for girls, etc. I bet he'd change his tune once he had actually played it. I managed to get a good few people interested and later hooked on New Leaf. There are a bunch of things he likes and I could say the exact same things about what he likes too, so I really have no idea why he thinks he can judge me for playing AC.

The past few years I became really good friends with my ex-boyfriend's friends who are some hardcore gamer guys that always had a controller in their hands playing Madden, COD, Zombie games, GTA 24/7. I remember in August or September I was hanging out with five of them at a party, and I accidentally mentioned I was playing New Leaf and waited for them to give me crap about it.

It got awkward and silent. Three of them bursted out laughing. These three have been playing New Leaf since the release as well. The other two were secretly playing. It was a cute bonding moment. We're all in our twenties and spent 5 hours that night just talking about Animal Crossing c':

My best friend, he said it was a 'Gay game' Infront of his 'street' friends. I just laughed and walked off, like a weirdo.

if anything, i'm worried about how much my brother plays his. all our other friends have moved on to pokemon xy and he's still playing animal crossing. i don't think his friends make fun of him, though, but no one's said anything to me about how much i play it.

I`m early 30`s and played it at the place I work. My collegues smiled, but said nothing. I don`t think they were laughing at me.
I also play it in front of my family and my father always looks at me weird when he notices it, but on the other hand he looks at me weird mostly anyways.

To be honest though, I couldn`t care less. I also attend school and most classmates prefer GTA and whatever shooter is the newest rage, but I just got bored with them. It feels like work. (Few exceptions)
