Guys... How do you feel about armpit hair on yourself?

Woman here who doesn't shave my armpits about 50% of the time. It depends. I don't care if anybody has hair on their bodies. If they want hair, more power to them.

However, if a guy (like a boyfriend of mine) wanted me to shave my armpits, I'd expect him to do the same. If he's fine with me having armpit hair, I'd be fine with him having his. Body hair is natural, but can also be aesthetic, depending on what people do with it. People shouldn't make such a big deal out of it, ya know? It's harmless hair! It's only a big deal if people go out of their way to make it a big deal.

So if you like your hair, grow it out wild and free!

Ye, I've trimmed before and it was just scratchy and itchy and just all around uncomfortable.

i actually didn't have a problem with it. I just thought it looked weird cause I have body hair like everywhere but my armpits were like inconsistent with the rest of me

I prefer none on both men and women, just for the sake of hygiene and overall appear. Though, I feel the same with pretty much all body hair just cause I'm a fan of smooth skin haha.

I don't bother with shaving mine, lol. My girlfriend does (thankfully), but I wouldn't expect her to if she doesn't want to. Unless she has gorilla pits. That won't fly with me

I mean I myself am starting to get hairier being a freshly put into adulthood at 18, however I don't think my actually body hair itself would get that long and I do plan to trim my facial hair... So I guess I could stand to trim just a little bit. Not to the point of it being irritating and itchy though.

I say do what you want. Obviously people on a date are going to be concerned about things far more important than each other's body hair,

I myself haven't shaved mine, but I haven't grown enough to the point where it needs to be shaved anyway, lol

I'm not a guy but...I think armpit hair on a guy looks fine. Personally I don't like when guys are completely hairless, it just looks...wrong for some reason. BUT, if you have an entire forest under there, then you should definitely trim it. When it starts to get overgrown and a bit too long it just looks kind of gross.

i don't personally care about other people/partners but personally i shave. i find it pretty uncomfortable in the summer months plus i'm not really keen on the way it looks (but that is ovs just society)

Definitely YUCK. I shave every two days because by the second day, it gets too itchy to handle. It makes me feel more sweaty. Just totally yuck. But I feel that way with "downstairs" and legs anyway. To be completely honest, armpit hair on guys is pretty gross. I don't know how they can deal with it! I'd freak out.

I'll trim it if it's gettin out of hand, but armpit hair is cool with me.
Sometimes I'll just be layin down watchin the television and twirling my armpit hair just cause.

I hate armpit hair on myself. It gets to a certain length and then my armpits just itch like crazy so I just shave it as often as possible. I have pretty sensitive skin so I can't shave them all the time or they get razor burn :/ I just hate armpits lol

I don't care if my boyfriend has armpit hair or not~ I love him and armpit hair doesn't influence anything LOL. But it probably does make him look more 'manly' (rather than a pre-pubescent boy who doesn't grow body hair), because we are adults.

To my knowledge, he usually doesn't do anything to his armpit hair, and I think has only shaved it a few times when he gets annoyed at it...?

In my opinion whether you're male or female you need to get rid of that ****. Same goes for pretty much all body hair. To all the men walking around in the summer in shorts and a wife-beater, I really shouldn't have to look at your leg/armpit bush.

I shave mine (I'm female). I feel.. gross when I don't.

I'm okay with armpit hair on men. The one thing I find disgusting is excessive armpit sweating to the point it stains their shirt... ick. Thankfully my boyfriend doesn't have that issue. ^^;

Not a guy but I personally feel like guys look cleaner without all the hair or atleast trim it. I kinda wish it was socially acceptable for guys to shave too because in general I think body hair is annoying and scratchy. We're not in the cave man era anymore so the purpose of the hair isn't really life threatening if you remove it. I don't really care if a guy shaves or not but it's a matter of their own comfort and personal preference.
