I have been playing the game since the day it came out, and I have found every fossil BESIDES the Spino Torso... Am I the only person who has been playing since the game came out that doesn't have a complete fossil exhibit, and probably never will? I never time travel, and I rarely visit anyone's islands (for a lack of things to do... I swear this game needs more multiplayer features), and I haven't visited a NMT island in ages, because I don't need the resources. I have dug up the four fossils that are available on my island each and everyday, had them assessed, and so far I can't seem to get a Spino Torso.

I am beginning to think that I will never find one. (I have the skull and tail, but not the body...) Did this dinosaur just exist bodyless on my island billions of years ago? I am beginning to think that has to be the case.... I am just worried that I am going to be the only player who has played since the game came out that won't have a complete fossil exhibit, because of how bad the fossil RNG seems to be ;-;

So am I the only one who doesn't have a complete fossil exhibit yet (that has played since the SECOND THE GAME CAME OUT IN THE STATES)?

If it is any comfort to you, my girlfriend is also still looking for her last fossil, while she has played since release. I am pretty sure that the fossils are completely random, and hence, you just have a ~5% chance to find your missing fossil each day. 5% is not a lot. If my back of the envelope math is correct, there's a 20% chance you still haven't found it after a month of looking. That's still quite a high chance! Although I would consider you to be unlucky. ;-)

yeah. I am unlucky when it comes to the fossils. Albeit I am quite lucky when it comes to Redd having one genuine art per visit. So far he has visited like once a month on average, and he has always had one genuine piece of art with him whenever he does visit. So i am more lucky with him than I am when it comes to finding fossils

You aren't the only one.

It took me near the end of May to find the amber which was my last fossil. It was also the same fossil I struggled to find in ACNL, lol. At one point I began to time-travel (for different reasons) and even with the amount of fossils stacking up, I still never got the amber. The ancient mosquito trapped in tree sap evaded me for such a long time.

Can you imagine if your last fossil was the coprolite? 😂

That ones are usually tricky because its just of few out of a whole lot. When I was running down to my final 5ish of the fossils. I started collecting the fossils that were extra and started trading them for the fossils I didn't have. It helped a lot so I wouldn't be frustrated for days to come.

I'm also still looking for my last fossil. But I think the long wait will make finding it that much more satisfying!

I'm still looking for my last two fossils, and I've had the game since release. I'm so tempted to buy them, but I think I'm just going to keep looking no matter how long it takes. I also am pretty lazy though, I don't dig them up every day lol.

If not for the fact I caved in and bought a plesio tail off of someone here, I would still be without a complete fossil collection. I remember it taking months to find the last two or so fossils in NL as well. I also played since launch.

I only just finished mine yesterday, and for a majority of my play time I've shared fossils with friends and they've given me theirs.

I am also still looking for my last fossil and have been playing since launch. Note that I am not always good to remember to dig up my fossils, so assume around 10 days of fossils I didn't get. One day I will get that triceratops torso

I don't have the complete fossil collection and I've been playing since launch! I can have a pocket full of seven fossils and all of them I already have. I swear I have Blather's "I must exercise restraint" speech memorized by now! I have to be close to completion or I'm just insanely unlucky.

i'm still looking for my last fossil: the australopith and i've been playing since launch. i know it's really easy for me to just buy it off here or trade for it, but i realllly just want to complete it myself. one day the rng gods will bless me.

I was missing the Juramaia for the longest time. I gave in and traded for it. I did eventually find one among my assessed fossils though.

I had this with the shark tooth pattern fossil, time travelled easily over 200 days and eventually had to buy it from someone else.

I agree it's been frustrating trying to complete my fossil collection for the museum. I will say I've gotten some luck in traveling to islands with a nmt, but not lucky enough to find the last few fossils needed.

I just need the diplo neck. I could trade for it, but I want to find it myself.
