For anyone who doesn't know what I am talking about. I am talking about how, when you transfer your character (regular Resident, not Resident Representative) to a different Switch (which requires two copies of the game and two Switches to do so). You start on a new island, and you're introduced to Tom Nook again.

Now, for me, since I've been doing this all the time, the villagers on my 2nd island already know who my character is, as well as the ones on the main island. However, whenever I transfer, it's as if all the Special NPCs' memories are reset. For example, Tom Nook has to remind me how DIY works, Orville reminds me how the airport works, and Kapp'n acts as if I've never been on Nook Mile Tours, despite being on the island before.

The only reason I do that is because I have two islands set in the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, and since there is no way to send, transfer, or donate to the museum, this is one of the things I have to do to complete the museum.

I wish to reset island was much more easy for me but the recipe cards is take it much too long and so much of this work to do this. I wish to keep catalogue and and recipes please! Better than this I want to not make a craft again!

I really don’t get that either. I was restarting my second island often so I would have one character that I would move between islands so I could terraform right away. This way I also had a lot of the DIy’s I wanted. I don’t get why Nook would act like you were never on an island and explain everything again. Obviously I am moving from an island so I know what I am doing. It seems like a waste of time.

So you've been moving an alt villager between two different islands more than once and the AI resets its memory of their existence each time? That's really dumb. I only did it one time when I finally moved over to my main island so npc like Sable reset back to not knowing who I was even though on the other alt island Sable became my friend. It was a bit jarring with some of the npc, but it made sense in its own way, but knowing that if I kept moving over to each island and it reset their memory each time is kinda dumb.
