Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

It's taken a long time to get to this point, roughly 18 years after Metroid Prime 3 came out, 8.5 years after it was first announced, and almost 7 years since development restarted on it, but Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has finally been released! Here's the launch trailer Nintendo has put out for the game:

Has anybody been looking forward to this game? Is anybody going to get it today or anytime soon? Feel free to mention any thoughts you have about the game and your time in Viewros in here if you play it, though be careful with any spoilers!

Admittedly, I don't have any thoughts I want to add about the game at this point since I want to play it first before saying anything. But I've been looking forward to this game for awhile, and I'm glad I'll finally be able to pick it up today!

I definitely want to get it, however, I never did beat the 2nd Metroid Prime or even played the 3rd. I'm hoping Ninty will release remastered versions for the Switch/Switch 2 at some point so I can play them and get caught up to speed. Even if they don't though, I'll definitely get this one at some point, no matter what.

Also I'm kind of sad there's so little Metroid fans here...oh well! You like what you like.

I'm a big metroid fan but prefer the classic 2d sidescrolling metroids over 3d/open world. That said, the Prime games were fantastic, so I'll probably buy or at least play through this at some point.

Game looks great

Not sure how I feel about the motorcycle though

I'm interested in getting of eventually whenever I feel like playing it. I got the three amiibo for it so that's something lol. I enjoy open world type games so it'll be interesting to see what the game has to offer for me.

I managed to get 98% scans, with roughly 90% items on my first blind playthrough about a few weeks back.

I am going to try for 100% on a new save slot.

I think this game is gorgeous and I keep finding little things each time I go back into a section.

Wow that's impressive, glad to hear you're still loving it that far in. It seems like the kind of game that would be good for a second playthrough
