I used to be like that- sad and couldn' say goodbye to my long hair..but it got damaged so I cut it all off and honestly short hair ain't bad. I gave my character the cute pixie cute x3 Though my hair grows fast so i'm a bad example lol. You can try a wig and test the look

Mine is totally based on me irl. I have long dark brown hair, dark blue eyes, and fair skin. Also I'm always seen wearing blue just like my character. The only thing different is that I have tiny orangy freckles on my faces, but I didn't make any. I just don't like them that much even though most people go on about how cute freckles are. I bet most of them don't have freckles. I think we need more nose and mouth shape choices. We have so many different eye shapes.

mine is based on me. the only things that are different are my hair color and style. My hair IRL is like a grey brown mix but there aren't any options that look like it so I just use the white/grey. My hair is also long and there aren't any long hairstyles that match what my hair looks like. My character's fashion sense is a lot crazier than mine as well.

Yes because I imagine if I was in an alternate universe, that character would totally be me lol...
No because I don't have red hair nor green eyes (I have black hair and eyes, asian things, but would totally dye my hair red tho lol) and he's not named after my IRL name and I have a story I have in mind for him that of course is totally fictional so that doesn't really represent who I am IRL lol...
But still kinda represents who I am in some way...

Not at all, apart from the birthday so that it doesn't feel totally out of place.
I made that mistake in New Leaf and sort of restrained myself, therefore this time I chose whatever seemed the most interesting to me and I'm developing everything on the way, contrary to my usual practices.
I suppose we also share the same style, since I don't want to spend my bells on clothes I don't enjoy, but mostly I just pick whatever seems the most interesting to run around with.

It's based off of me but I took some liberties. We have the same name, hair color, pale skin and eye color but it doesn't really look like me if that makes any sense.

I combined myself with a fictional character. My characters "silver"hair in game is my irl gray hair. Yay.

i tried to make my character look as closely to myself as possible, except with a much better taste in clothing in-game ;; my hair, face, and skin tone are all similar to how i look irl though!

My character doesn't look like me exactly, but I feel like - and try to ensure - all the things about my character are things that are reminiscent of me. Like my character is purple-haired, which works really well with my interests/favourite characters, and I also spent a lot of time (probably 1-2 yrs) with my hair dyed purple... braid hairstyle, just matches my personality and I often have my hair plaited... I switch up the glasses style ingame, but I've always worn glasses... I always try to give my character a little dorky flair to make sure they're not too far removed from me.
