DSi LL?

Also, those rumors that are going around about a new DS are all false. Nintendo confirmed them false at (or maybe it was shortly after) their media summit. They even said that there's not going to be new Nintendo hardware, console or handheld, for quite some time. So don't worry about getting the DSi XL and soon after Nintendo releasing a new DS, because it's not going to happen for awhile.
Bull*censored.2.0*. They said the same thing about the DS Lite 4 days before it was announced. It's typical Nintendo to deny rumors. And, if you kept track of the news, you'd know that Iwata and a few other developers were already talking about the next handheld. Motion sensors, higher resolution screens, etc... some developers claim to already have dev units on their hands. I'd trust developers over PR talking heads anyday.

Some things about it sounds so awesome, especially the size, I do think I'm going to get one, but I'll still think it over when more information is released, stuff like that.

It would be so nice to play Soul Silver on a big screen :D Thanks for all this stuff guyyyss!

And besides, when I'm planning on buying a new DS anyway, I might as well get this cool one, instead of a regular one.
Yeah, just keep in mind that it's supposed to be played on a table not your hands.
No, it was made to be played on either a table or your hands. It's still a portable system, but its size makes it easier to play on a table, too.

Sure. The announcement will come sometime this year, maybe with an end-of-year or early-2011 release.

Also, I still have the original DS and am on the market for an upgrade. I'm wary of the DSi XL because the screens are just bigger with the same resolution, i.e., much blockier graphics. Pretty lame, if you ask me. So I'll probably get a DSi, even if bigger screens are a pretty good idea in theory.

The whole "blockier graphics" thing is a joke. I've seen games played on the DSi XL, and they look a lot better, not worse. You can't notice any blockiness. Maybe it could be a bit more obvious in certain games, but nothing big enough to complain about. I don't know why people complain so much about it. No one ever complains about the Super Game Boy or Game Boy Player, so why complain about the DSi's 4.2-inch screens, which are still very small compared to a TV which the Super Game Boy/Game Boy Player is played on?

In one two years .. IF it comes in blue ill get it .. [ All my ds's have been and are blue, and i'd like to keep the chain ]

I don't think Nintendo will release a blue DSi XL. They choose the DSi XL colors to match the surroundings of an average household, because they want it to be something that people will leave on the table for anyone to play.

I just don't see the point of yet another DS. ._. But I guess some people like to play their games gigantically.

Nintendo makes them because people buy them.

And DS's are still selling like hotcakes, so it doesn't make much sense to release a DS2 yet, but an announcement at the end of the year might be possible, it doesn't have to come out right away after the announcement after all.

True, true. :U Why spend all those pesky resources making a new system when you can just keep popping out the old one? Well, I like the DS so I don't really mind.

But how are they going to keep innovating? I hope the next system has four screens and smell-o-vision. |:<

Edit: AW YEAH THE PURPLE POST!

4 screen, each having a fold up screen. It'll be called OS for Octo-Screens.

Smell-o-vision sounds pretty funky o.o

Now THAT is a gaming system to be proud of. 8D

Smell-o-vision would help immerse you into the experience! It sure would make fighting giant demon spawn fun! Especially when they used attacks like "poison breath".

That's still not proof. For all we know, they could be bluffing. If it's not from Nintendo themselves, it's not 100% official. I have no doubt that they're working on their next handheld, but a 2010 release is insane.

Ehh, but what if you already have one with a tichy screen and you already have accounts on things and say... you're short sighted... is it worth it to spend your soon to be b-day money on a new one and start all over again? :/

I was really proud of finishing all the levels in pictopict... :3
