DSi LL?

Ehh, but what if you already have one with a tichy screen and you already have accounts on things and say... you're short sighted... is it worth it to spend your soon to be b-day money on a new one and start all over again? :/

I was really proud of finishing all the levels in pictopict... :3
Well, I'm going to call Nintendo and see if they'll let me send both my DSi and DSi XL in and transfer the data from my DSi to my DSi XL. They've done it for some people in Japan, even though they say they'll only do it if your DSi is broken, so it's worth a shot. If not, though, I don't mind repurchasing a few DSiWare games to support Nintendo. Besides, they're extremely cheap. Also, although you can't transfer DSiWare to another DSi/DSi XL, I'm pretty sure you can transfer the save data for it, as long as you have that DSiWare installed on the other DSi/DSi XL. I mean, the DSi lets you transfer DSiWare data to an SD card (I'm not sure if it's the whole DSiWare or just save data, though...), and I don't see what else that can be used for, lol.

Sure. The announcement will come sometime this year, maybe with an end-of-year or early-2011 release.
Quoted for proof so you can't edit. ;D
Won't need to.

As more info trickles out... prepare to eat crow, as it were. :P
That's still not proof. For all we know, they could be bluffing. If it's not from Nintendo themselves, it's not 100% official. I have no doubt that they're working on their next handheld, but a 2010 release is insane.
I have to agree with this, the DS is such a powerhouse still, it wouldn't make much sense from a business standpoint to introduce a new system so fast.

Still... the thought of a bigger Moe and Anton... <3

Well, let me know how it turns out... Though I can't really "break" my current one as my parents got insurance for it after my old green lite broke ;_;

I never said to break it, lol. Nintendo might do it for you even though your DSi isn't broken.

Well, I hope that they can... I don't want to lose my stars :3

Ehh, I might decide to spend it on something else... I don't really know right now... maybe I'll just wait until a newer one comes out?

You'll most likely be waiting quite awhile before that happens, lol. Just do what you want. If you want the bigger screens, better sound, improved battery life, and all the rest, then go for it.

But, last time I did that with something else, a newer version came out... also I'll just be patient and wait... I'm meant to be studying hard and stuff this year anyway... maybe the next year too... XD

What was it with, and when did you buy it? The system you had was probably already out for a few years a least, lol.

Nope, many reasons I liked it.

Bigger Screens
1,000 Nintendo Points
and more.
With the normal DSi you still get 1000 points.
Anyone who gets a DSi/DSi XL will immediatly get 1000 points when they register.

Guess Nintendo's insane then. But no. They've always -- ALWAYS -- released their handhelds as the previous one was at a high point, not when they were fizzling out. So an E3 2010 announcement followed by an end-of-year release date is very, very likely.

But not in the same year that they just released another new handheld. They wouldn't do that, it'd kill the DSi XL's sales.

So, let me guess, I could be wrong, but...

DS Phat, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL and sometime to be a DS2????

Don't get one, it's pointless. Just get a DS Lite.
You won't be missing anything great that you can do in a computer.

The "DS2" would be an entirely different system, not just an improved DS.

And what's wrong with different models of handhelds? It's not the first time Nintendo's done it...

Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Light, Game Boy Color.

Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, Game Boy Advance SP Mark II, Game Boy micro.

It seems to go in groups of four, lol.

In one two years .. IF it comes in blue ill get it .. [ All my ds's have been and are blue, and i'd like to keep the chain ]
I don't think Nintendo will release a blue DSi XL. They choose the DSi XL colors to match the surroundings of an average household, because they want it to be something that people will leave on the table for anyone to play.
So they want your friends to just pick up your ds and play it? LOL
