Nintendo recently announced a new "Nintendo Store" app, joining the multiple apps they have already released prior to this (Nintendo Switch App, Nintendo Switch Parental Controls, Nintendo Music, Nintendo Today!). The main features are that it allows you to browse the Nintendo Store, it has some Nintendo news, it gives you notifications about any sales and, perhaps most interestingly, it actually allows you to see your Switch/Switch 2 (+ Wii U and 3DS up to Feb. 2020) play activity. What are your thoughts on the app? Are you going to download it? Do you see yourself using it?

For me, I definitely don't use the Nintendo Store enough to need the app for that purpose, especially since it takes you out of the app in order to make purchases anyways. However, I downloaded it since it does allow you to access your play activity, and it does actually show you a day-by-day breakdown of how long you played a game for when you select it, which is a level of detail I've really missed from the Wii U/3DS days. That alone makes it worthwhile for me to keep and use every so often, even if it'd be a lot nicer if that info was on the Switch/Switch 2 themselves. 😅
