Does anyone not landscape their towns?

I sort through my flowers when I get bored. I tend to give them an order when I surround something or other like a house for example with flowers. :D Like red-white-yellow and just continue in that order. Though it does make me wonder what I should do with pink and orange flowers. :(
Maybe I'll surround the villager homes with the rarer flowers.

I got inspired by dream addresses and am trying it out. Trying to figure out if I want to cover all the grass or what. I'd love to hire someone one day! I can't figure out/have patience for the bushes. I'm putting designs/paths on the ground, cutting trees, planting, growing hybrids etc. I only have like 4 villagers I care to keep so I'd like the others to move out and get some more pwps. This is my first town so I started and just did whatever planting and placing things wherever, then I found this forum and explored dream addresses and was like,"ohhhh... people plan stuff out..." I thought I was a failure. Good to hear it's challenging for others as well or not even such a priority. I assumed it was what you do/expected!

Landscaping does take a lot of work, but once you have placements and stuff that you like, it feels really rewarding in the end. Like, having paths and flowers or whatever makes everything look nice.

Whenever I see towns that are not landscaped, I sort of twitch... But that could just be my OCD. :/

I havent landscaped, I just chuck everything anywhere lol, when I get a second copy of the game ill be more careful though, cause my flowers and trees keep getting in the way lol I have chopped down half I have planted, lol, I wish I had now when I started

I do very vague landscaping, but I'm simply too tired atm to make super complex patterns. Although in Drowsy, I don't really plan on landscaping much until all my villagers are keep-forever villagers and I have a slightly bigger house and whatnot.

I just do it after I plot all the dreamies who are gonna stay but before that nope
I don't like to plot reset

I didn't landscape much in the beginning, but I ended up in the dream towns (before I joined the forums or anything) and just adored what I saw. I use animal crossing as kinda my "happy place" so once I learned how to make the spaces more comfortable and figured out what I really liked... Whelp... I have a ton of towns for each idea I have and it's tons of fun!! But if I start with a super open and lovely town, sometimes I just go with the flow :D Really depends on the mood and how happy the town makes me ^^

In my main town I never planned anything to scale. I've been playing for 3 years and still move things.
To help with some placement I did use some different colored tiles to see if I like the PWP/shrubs and flowers. Left it for awhile before wasting the hard to get shrubs.

In my beautiful town I did use tile for the trees with 4 shrubs around it in a long row. Made sure it fit before planting.
I also used PWP that were the same size as the one I was waiting to get requested. If Isabelle said it worked I place tiles to mark the spot. If she said no than I changed my plans. The town is beautiful but I still like playing in my main town that is more relaxed with space to move around.

I haven't landscaped my town yet. I will be once I obtain all of my dreamies, but for now my town looks really ugly, haha.
