Do you use Rescue Service at all?

Considering that stairs and valting poles don't break, Rescue Service is basically useless. I guess you could get lost at the beggining, but still... I think they just didn't want for Mr. Resetti to be jobless.
Although I did use it a couple of times when I was *that* lazy to run across the island.
Have you ever used it?

I used it once to see if there was a Nook Miles quest for it. (There was not.)

I used it for the first time twice today twice in a row. I terraformed a "mountain" and put some cypress plants behind me and couldn't get back down without removing the cypress tress... which I didn't want to do.

I use it as a "Fly" HM with a small fare of 100NMP. I don't use it often too often though! (Though I used it a lot while terraforming. Carrying 36 trees ain't funny.)

Ohh this is good! I made a big lake with a tree in the middle of it and when I realized I was trapped, my response was just make land one tile at a time until I manage to get to land.... The 100 miles would be worth it.....

Nope, I literally only used it once to see if there was a nook miles achievement for trying it and there wasn't. It makes me pretty sad tbh if this is really gonna be Resetti's only role I remember everyone celebrating when the rescue service was revealed and they heard his voice and tune, all over my twitter feed people were happy Resetti wasn't just gone from the series... but he's a nameless, faceless character whose only role is useless to almost everyone from what I've seen. I hope that at some point in the future he'll show up in the cafe the way Rover did in Wild World, or even that something similar to the reset surveillance center will return.

I surrounded myself with fences on a little platform there was no other way down without removing a piece of fence. I suppose I could have terraformed myself a platform and then destroyed it after but I'm lazy.

I try to remember to try it out but I just forget.

No. Like the Direct insisted, the rescue service was made to save you incase you got stuck. I've yet to get myself stuck. While It can be done accidentally, you're likely not going to get stuck unless you do it on purpose.

I had to use it once because I put my house on top of a cliff, then dropped my ladder for someone else to use, logged out for them to play and forgot when I logged back in I wouldn't have the chance to grab the ladder because you spawn at your house. haha. It was when I first started so I didn't have inclines yet either. XD It was funny.

I've never used it but I do recall a video of someone getting stuck after placing an incline kit near a rocky area on the beach.

I'm sure it's handy for those terraforming with full or empty pockets that forget their ladder though!

Yeah! He could at least appear out of nowhere in ground when you call him! I hope he has more of a role in the future!
