I've always had trouble sleeping and recently the past couple of months I've been playing a lot of random long YouTube videos or pink noise in the background to help me sleep as without it I usually take way to long to get to sleep or get zero sleep at all.

I have a sleepy playlist of music I've made on spotify! I'm pretty sure I can sleep fine without it but I feel like it helps me fall asleep faster (?)
I didn't always sleep with music before but it's a habit I've picked up from my boyfriend lol

Yes, music sometiemes help me sleep but it depends what kind of music. Podcasts and YT videos also help me sleep. YT videos that have nature sounds are especially helpful since they are relaxing for me.

Audiobooks, also the Calm app sleep stories, guided meditations, sleep/relaxing sounds etc. I don’t listen to them as I fall asleep though. I listen to them before I lay down to sleep. Because I can’t sleep with noise.

Rarely. I use to when I had a phone that accepted corded earbuds. I don't like blue tooth stuff. It was usually just some elevator like music or nature stuff like frogs or thunder. Nothing crazy. But I do have to say, this past winter there were a couple of times where I simply could not sleep for the life of me and I was in a separate room from my spouse. I found this YouTube video of these heaters with fans that glowed orange in the dark. Those bad boys were nice to listen to and look at. Made me feel a little warmer due to the orange. Great sound, I got some sleep those few nights as a result. And my spouse couldn't be disturbed by my phone since he was in the other room.

I don't really like videos or music when I'm trying to sleep because it distracts me but I always have a fan on at night for the noise and air circulation. I tend to have a hard time sleeping if I don't have it. If I can't have a fan then sometimes I use a white noise app but I usually prefer to try and go without on those days.

Before I sleep, I have my Alexa play "Chill lofi beats" or "Rain and thunder" sound effects to help me sleep.
But on other nights, I don't listen to anything.

Well... I sleep to death metal. XD The usual style of these bands are soothing to me, especially the drums and vocals. My preferences are Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus, but I'm fine with any band.

I also watch long YouTube videos when I need to sleep and tend to fall asleep pretty quickly.

Not currently, but there was a time where I'd just loop Endless Summer by Vampillia and just drift off to it. I imagine If I did that now it'd be the Silent Hill 2 OST.

I voted for YouTube videos. Mainly, video game longplays, which are just a single video of a complete playthrough of any given game, instead of multiple videos of the same game split into different parts.

The longer the video, the better. If it's short, about 3 hours, I simply put it on loop. Also, absolutely no ads allowed. The moment an ad plays, I just totally skip the video and go look for another one that has no ads. I hate it when random, annoying ads interrupt the video. So when I find a longplay with no ads from beginning to end, I feel really happy and I sleep better.

Some YouTube videos have become my comfort videos. Atmospheric music, sound effects... The sound of footsteps, doors opening and closing, monsters and yes, even gunshots, lol. It's why Resident Evil games are some of my favorites to have playing in the background, specifically the original trilogy, RE4, RE1 remake, RE2 remake and CVX

There are some instances where I like commentary as well, but it really depends.

A little bit of both, tbh. On a good night, I do not require any type of noise or music or anything ><
But when I'm having trouble sleeping. Rain sounds is my go to c:
