Do you design your island to be the same year-round?

I have a few plaza areas that rotate on a monthly basis, in addition to switching out bushes. The general layout of my island doesn't change, though.

I plan to have mostly permanent areas (villager neighborhood, shopping, etc). But a few areas are going to be rotating in design. I think that will help prevent me from tearing down and redecorating everything every season . I'll be limited to just redecorating those few areas.

My island’s designs are permanent, though maybe when I’m done with decorating and when the game is done releasing new items, I might consider changing up the items I’m using for some of my marketplace stalls (or by the stalls) every so often depending on season or holiday.

I have a beach area right now with surfboards and shell items, so I will definitely switch those out in the fall, and I'll switch out the bushes by my airport for seasonal ones. I feel like it might get boring and stale if I don't change things up as I want to, I guess. Plus I can't let all the cute seasonal furniture go to waste!!

i would like to have an island that changes with seasons, but with no way to store flowers and bushes there isn't rly a reason for me to even attempt something like that. maybe when all the updates come out i'll think about changing up my island seasonally, but for now im content with having my purple flowers with me throughout every season and holiday.

I have a fairy circle with bushes that I might swap out for whatever's in season. Otherwise, I try to keep my island timeless so I don't need to redesign each season.

Mine is permanent, but I think I'll add some Christmas decorations around when December hits

Some things will change with the season. Bushes for sure, but I'm also going to swap out some other things. My tropical boardwalk will become more of a spa in colder weather. Some of my stalls will be changed up to display other stuff too. Instead of a smoothie stall, ikl have a hot chocolate stall instead. Just a couple of examples.

I plan on making the entrance be reflective of seasons but other than that, everything will probably be permanent, with the exception of maybe a few decorations here and there.

I won't change it.

As soon as the northern hemisphere winter hits, I will abandon the game for three months to avoid the snow, until nintendo makes it optional for those of us that it isn't natural for, and who don't like or want snow (I chose northern to not start the game in winter, but I'm in the southern.).

Won't change bushes but may change decorations like replacing outdoor table with festive tree. Will be adding halloween decorations everywhere around fall and winter furniture in winter

Yep. We don't get snow here, and it's so bland, depressing, and stark white.

It makes my eyes twitch constantly.

It's been the reason for me deleting every game since WW 2005.

my ideas are mainly permanent - while i’ve definitely considered having seasonal decorations, that would force me to change a whole lot since my island is pretty much designed for spring so i wouldn’t know how else to decorate in different seasons aha

My island is taking long enough as it is to make cute 200+ hours and still nowhere near done. If I had to change it seasonally I’d freak!!!

My bushes will definitely change, and I am trying to do seasonal stuff. But most things are permanent.

So far I'm thinking of keeping it similar year round but I want to add some ice sculptures in the winter!

I definitely don't have the time to remodel my whole town every time the season changes, lol. I like to plant certain bushes in some parts I think would look nice in other seasons. So I mostly expect to keep a lot of what I have.

too early to tell, i’ll probably change it here & there during the different seasons. but not the entire thing. i mean i already change areas depending on the bushes in season!
