genderfluid is not a gender k bye

Hmm well I mean both / neither then rip

There are no "beliefs", it's literally been proven by scientists that there are more genders than just male and female, as well as the fact that gender is in your mind and not your biological make-up or your pants. Sorry buddy.
Really? I never knew that.

I mean like, you're a guy but inside you feel female...you don't feel "transgender". Well you do but...//dies //can't explain

Idk I have a lot of questions about this stuff that I mean, respectfully as possible and it'd be cool to have some answers. It seems like it's always really taboo to talk about this stuff, but talking about stuff helps.

It's great that you want answers on this, but an Animal Crossing forum might not be the best place to get them

Trans lives aren't a discussion.
Preach

My IRL friend told me that genderfluid and transgender can both count as genders.
They aren't, they're gender-related but not genders themselves.
Trans people are people whose gender doesn't match the sex they were assigned at birth, genderfluid people change between genders.

Or if you must, there are better places to ask them than a transphobic thread. The LGBT thread is probably the best place to ask but I'm not sure where that's at right now.

What about transgender though? My friend said that what makes her pansexual is that she is attracted to men, women, transgenders, and genderfluid people. She said all of those classify as genders and she said that there are many more. According to her (which I actually didn't know this), gender and sexuality have a broad range of spectrums.

your irl friend is wrong k

genderfluid is changing between genders (could b literally any gender k)
transgender is being trans, which is not being cis, which means that you aren't the gender you were assigned at birth.

example of genders: agender, female, demigirl, male, demiboy etc. some ppl might be more than one gender, and some people's gender changes w time n stuff.

but like, if male is a yellow crayon and female is an orange crayon and agender is a red crayon to make things simple. someone can hold both a yellow and a red crayon!! that means they're bigender, but bigender isn't actually a gender (/crayon), it is just a combination of crayons/genders. lol

Yeah of course, but idk any trans ppl irl and I've tried searching the internet w my questions and asking on different places and haven't received answers. I'm not saying I'm entitled to an explanation or anything but some ppl on here seem educated about it.

im trans myself. the definition of genderfluid is that your gender changes. genderfluid in itself is not a gender, it is how your gender behyaves n stuff

if you "are a guy" but "feel female" inside then you're female. and trans.

What's like "demiboy" that was mentioned?

part boy part something else (like agender)

some people are like 70% boy but 30% agender (no gender)

To the people posting about closing it, there isn't really a need to this second. Do your best to keep it civil and it'll be left open.

Alright, closing this thread as despite my wishes to have a mature conversation it took less than five minutes for this thread to be a problem. But just for the record, I'm not "transphobic." I don't agree with the choice of becoming transgender and personally believe that it's wrong, but I'm not scared of them (which "phobic" strongly implies) and I still love everyone, transgender or not, and treat them equally. I'm okay with transgender people, but not with the act of becoming transgender itself, but that's simply my stance on the matter.

Wow, most of those I've never heard of before.
