As the clock chimed three, I realized I’d been up all night. I sat on my love seat, unable to shake the sense that there were eyes on me. Somewhere. I felt a tightness in my chest as I went to my typewriter to put my thoughts and feelings on paper. It was then that I heard the snicker of a small child. Though I knew, being by myself, that there was no child. The late hour caused me to come to the conclusion that this house must be haunted. Armed with lit censers hanging above me, I donned my ceremonial robe, mask, and cow skull to begin incantations necessary to rid the house of malicious spirits.
