Bug Off!

How excited are people for the bug off? Are you going to keep playing until you get the trophy or all the prizes? Are you playing with friends or going solo or having a extra character stand in place?

What's your favorite prize? I love the butterfly wall and artisanal bug cage

I also plan on setting up my island for easy bug catching. Lots of flowers nearby

I'm pretty sure she just needs to be on your island when you talk to Flick to compete.

I want the bug cage, butterfly backpack, artisanal bug cage and spiderwebs.

I'm gonna play with my sister and then two of my friends. So my Saturday will be busy, lol.

I feel like events like this and the fishing tournament could be extended to last at least a full weekend so that everyone has chance to take part - Saturdays are always busy days for one reason or another, so to give us between 9 and 6 to complete this seems a bit restrictive...especially when we've been given an entire month to rearrange the same few bits of wedding furniture and take a photo each day!

But there's so many people with NH islands that you can join them and get the prizes and points. There's more points for everyone with more people entering

Can any TT'ers share how the bug off works? As many bugs in X time?

It's just like the fishing tourney. Try to catch as many bugs as you can in the time limit. I think the limit is 3 minutes

i’m pretty excited! i’ve heard good things about it so i’m excited to experience it, especially since i like these prizes more than the fishing tourney ones. i’m not too concerned with the trophies but i do wanna collect all the prizes (especially the bug cage, butterflies wall and ladybug rug!)

I actually didn't think of that, but at the same time I feel like it's cheating if I travel to a Northern Hemisphere island to enter it? Idk it just feels like the equivalent of time travel cheating to a Southern Hemisphere Bug Off.

I don't think this cheating if they added North and South hemisphere as a game mechanic and for the bug off to give out bonus points with more players. I don't think it's any different if you trade with other people to get items or diys

Had a lot of fun with the fishing tourney so I'm hoping to visit a friend's island for the Bug Off. Mine is not bug-friendly right now.

I'll be aiming for the bug cage and spiderwebs while raking in the bells.
