I'm surprised there's a Wallpaper but no Flooring.

There is a flooring. You get a butterfly wall, and ladybug flooring.

I really don't much care for bugs, so the vast majority of those rewards freak me out. The backpack and wand are certainly cute and I hope I get them.

There is a flooring. You get a butterfly wall, and ladybug flooring.

To be fair, it's a Ladybug Rug, not flooring. The problem is reversed with the fishing tourney. You get the Marine Pop Flooring, but the wallpaper you have to buy at Nook's.

Ah...my bad. I just remembered him handing me something that used the flooring asset. Didn't consider that it could have just been a rug.

I'm trying to get a second artisanal bug cage, but my hand troubles mean I have to take a break from playing for a bit... I've got all the rest of the rewards (except trophies), though, and a dupe or two.

I don't care about the bug wand at all...but I guess I should still get it for completionist sake.

I definitely want the doorplate to use for Halloween.

I really enjoyed it, the most fun event I participated in so far. Only got one Artisanal Bug Cage though (even though I got up to the gold trophy), guess I'll have something to work towards next time

Honestly, I only take part of it because some of the items you can get from Flick are kinda cool, otherwise I don't really care for Bug-Off this much. Same goes for the Fishing tourney too. Both were already in New Leaf back then my least favorite events.

Even though I don’t completely agree, this made me lol. It’s good for cheesy Halloween decor but that’s about it.

I did the bug off solo. Manage to stop at exactly 200 points. Got two artisanal bug cages which is what I wanted. So much easier than the fishing tourney. The next fishing tourney I'll probably join another island to get the co-op points.

I had an alright time! I think catching bugs is less fun than fishing so I think that's what makes me enjoy it less
My partner and I did it together since 1) You don't have to pay the entry fee and 2) You get extra points
He managed to get a trophy but I didn't, my fave item is the Termite mound

I actually like the doorplate a lot more than I expected to...for the exact reason that it looks cheesy and retro. I was pretty much just expecting a generic spider (like the design on Spider-Man's chest), but was surprised to see a more subtle approach that pays homage to corny Halloween decor. It's probably going to be one of my favorite items in the game, once fall rolls around.

I missed the Bug-Off due to having to complete a lot of homework for grad school, so I TT'd back 12 hours and am still working on it!

My favorite prizes are definitely the butterfly wall and artisanal bug cage, though the butterfly backpack is cute too. I planned to keep going until I got those three prizes plus the trophy. So far I have the trophy, backpack and wall, so now only artisanal bug cage left. After that I think I'll quit so I (hopefully) have a few more prizes to work towards for the next Bug-Off.

I'm having fun, but I think I would be enjoying it even more if my island layout didn't make catching bugs so cumbersome. I definitely have too many trees, and having tons of flowers but with them evenly-distributed makes it so that bugs spawn all over the island, not just in one area. I had to take a break from bug-catching because my hand was getting sore from trying to run back and forth all over the island for hours, lol.

The developers missed a chance to animate the wallpaper. Imagine a spattering of flowers blowing in the wind, with butterflies fluttering about. That would have been majestic. They were a tad lazy with this one. I do love the spiderwebs and artisanal bug cage, though.

Also, what flooring goes with the set?

Just wanted to say thank you for posting this! The pic you added about the prizes really helped me figure out if I was missing any of the items!
