My Nintendo Account says it isn't linked to a device yet my Switch says it is.

This seems to lock me out of things, like the NSO App, because it says I don't have a linked Switch.

Any help?

what happens if you try to link your account to the switch?

sorry not much of a help haven't had this problem before

I heard there were 2 ways you could link an account, one was a nintendo account and the other is a nintendo network ID, both are different from each other, do you have both of these? If so, you probably used your nintendo network ID hence the nintendo account says it’s not linked

So your Switch says that it already has a Nintendo Account connected? Is it the same one that you're trying to link or a different one? You should be able to see more details in the user settings (don't have my Switch on me so I can't fully check ; v ; ) Only one Nintendo Account can be linked to a user account and the only way to unlink it would be to delete the user account but save data is saved to the user account so you probably wouldn't want to do that.

It's the same one I'm trying to link.

It's called "woow" because I'm not creative and my switch says woow is connected.

And... oh hell no I dont want to delete it. I worked my head off getting my island to 3 stars. My island is attached to me lol

I have both but my NNID was a fake email. I never really linked my NNID to my Switch.

Anyway, I keep my 3DS to 1 side...

Oh wait I have a different 1 for my Wii U but I didn't use that either. I don't even remember that one's password.

So I keep My Wii U, 3DS and Switch Account Links to their own consoles.

So, when you go to your settings and scroll down to "Users" and click your user account, does it show a Nintendo Account connected? Nintendo Accounts are linked to an email and don't have a username.

Yes, it does. It doesn't say to link any.

And it's the same email address as the one on the Nintendo Account that you're trying to link and log into on your NSO app? Have you also logged into the eShop?
Yes, its the same, and I'm registered to the eShop. Tried entering my email password for my nintendo account and my nintendo account's password.

The only other thing I can think of is if you have a child account that "woow" was the nickname for that? Otherwise I'd suggest reaching out to Nintendo support since they'd be able to look further into things.

Possibly.

Thank you!
