i had this also! but i couldn't find the shiny spot so i guess it is bad luck, so now u wont get a shiny spot everyday?

I previously (before this update or the last) had many days where I didn’t have a shiny spot, long before the update. For me it seemed that once a certain amount of my island was covered (mostly in flowers) the chances that the shiny spot would not spawn increased, up to the point where it was more common for me to not be able to find one on my island (and initially I looked very thoroughly because I thought there had to be one everyday) After clearing some empty grassy areas, I now find the shiny spot everyday again (and honestly it is a bit annoying to deal with cutting all the resulting trees down or moving them around)

So, I guess it could be bad luck but it also isn’t a new thing in the game to just not have a money tree spot, if there aren’t enough open areas for it to spawn.

The spotlights (both studio and wall-mounted) now show which color they are in storage. You don't have to take them out and turn them on to know which color they are.

That was sweet of Nintendo. I remember seeing all the news articles recently saying they patched a glitch that allowed players to hide the UI.

Most likely how they always work. For a month or so, it will be available through the ABD where you can purchase them

You can sort through designs from the design portal now. Also the guides on the camera can be removed now.

IIRC, the time it happened to me, I TTed back and then forth pretty quick and I figured it was related to that. I haven't had it happen since. But, again, all I've got is a vague memory which could be totally wrong But I'm 100% positive if my memory IS correct this happened LONG before the update (considering I've only had the update for, like, an hour- my memory's not THAT bad)


I figure that's how it'll work, since I believe that's how it worked in ACNL.

i saved and quit the game and and when i reopened it the shiny spot spawned in the same place i saw the buried bells! so i guess it was a glitch?

Feels like a cruel trick if they stealthily introduced luck in the same update as balloons.​
