Anyone else having trouble catching salmon?

Right now it's in September 8th, 12:30 pm in my game. I've been trying for a few days to catch salmon (both King + regular) and I can't. Are they rare?? How'd you catch yours?

Salmon are in found in that small pool area with the waterfall. You know, where you can't swim into? Are you fishing in the correct area?

I caught several Salmon back in September and I only caught them by the waterfall.

As the above comments say, I only ever found 1 by a waterfall. That was pure luck too seeing as I wasn't actually searching for one at the time. They're pretty difficult to see by the waterfall too which makes it a bit harder to catch them

According to the wiki King salmon can only be found below the waterfall before September 15th, afterwards until the end of September they will be found above the waterfall. Nowhere else, however they are very rare and hard to find.

I definitely sound dumb right now but I'm confused

They will always be in that pond of water underneath the waterfall. If you're swimming, it's that area you can't swim in. Look for their shadows. Sometimes they're hard to see because they're going into the waterfall. They will always be there, though. They will never move to the river or the ocean.

Always fish for them in the shallow pool left as the waterfall feeds into the river. The King Salmon is a bit trickier. I believe he is only available for two weeks in... one of the fall months. Just google it and you shoukd have no trouble. Go get 'em!!
