Okay so I've just realized that inviting amiibo villagers to your campsite is a great way to get a lot of diy recipes you didn't have before. This is definitely a nice advantage, but I've also realized in the two weeks I've been inviting campers via amiibo, i haven't had any normal campers! Isabelle hasn't announced any.
Do u guys have any experience with this? I like getting new recipes, but I'm afraid I might miss out on new villagers. Is this like, a thing or have I just been unlucky?

I just feel like it's pretty rare and random to get a campsite villager. Definitely not a regular 1 a week thing.

When tting for campsite villagers I'm almost certain I got one a week, but I might be wrong
I am unsure if this is true but I think maybe TTing also keeps u from getting more campers(if theyre days you had previously TT'd to)

I know when TTing for the campsite method you arent supposed to TT to days youve been to before as there wont be any campers so I feel like maybe TTing cleared those campers from showing up again?

I could be wrong but after TTing I dont seem to get campers regularly either :0

Not to mention if you time travel back to time periods you’ve had campers, the odds seem to lower drastically to get a camper again during that time. Some think you can’t get any campers at all but personally I just think the odds are frustratingly low.

I used to think the same thing, only I was really wrong. The campsite is actually really predictable and can even be forced to spawn you certain personalities of villagers. Here is a video explaining it better than I can. You don't have to time travel to get the campsite to work either, but it will be ten times faster if you do. I have been following this for the past couple weeks without TT and my last three campers have all been snooty (which is the only personality I am missing).

If you've TT before, I've heard that the dates you've been on won't have campers. Not sure if that's true though

It was at some point, but it has been patched. The campsite method rn can be used between 2 months, like I did, April and March for example. And campsite visitors kept appearing without me having to change the year or anything

You probably won't either. The odds are of getting a camper randomly are pretty low to begin with, and if you're inviting amiibo campers pretty often (every other day or whatever) they'll just stay low.

The exact numbers you can probably Google at this point but I'm pretty sure it's:
- The 1st and 2nd day after a camper has visited, there's 0% chance you'll get a random camper.
- The 3rd day is a 5% chance you'll get a random camper.
- The 4th day is a 10% chance.
- The 5th day is a 15% chance.
- The 6th day, and every day after that until you get a random camper, is a 20% chance.

Obviously, if you invite a new amiibo character at any point during that, the odds reset the day after their visit. Likewise, if you do get a random camper, the odds reset the day after their visit.

It's just pretty rare.

Omg this is so useful ty so much! I'll definitely limit my amiibo campers now!
