As I said before, I wouldn’t expect a new set of cards until next year at the earliest. Probably with a “welcome Amiibo” style set with more new ones and returning classics (WOOLIO!).
Question for y'all: When the animal crossing amiibo cards first came out, did they sell out immediately? Will we have to worry about scalpers/hoarders with the next release of amiibo cards?
When the amiibo cards first came out they were hugely unpopular, because the only games they worked with were Happy Home Designer and Amiibo Festival. That caused them to be super cheap, where you could buy even the most popular characters for like $1. That all changed with the Welcome Amiibo update in New Leaf. Once the cards became compatible with that game, the prices started to skyrocket. Now with New Horizons, I don't see the prices for them coming back down anytime soon. So yeah, it's likely that we'll have to deal with scammers, but the good news is that they'll be in production, so you'll be able to find them at retail prices instead of scalper ebay ones.Question for y'all: When the animal crossing amiibo cards first came out, did they sell out immediately? one of my hopes. the bids on raymond on this site to me are kinda ridiculous. 100 million for raymond? that’s a bit much if you ask me but i understand because he currently doesn’t have an amiibo along with the other new ones lolWonder if this would drive the price of a Raymond down...
