For me, I'd say the most invested I get with Valentine's Day is when I indulge in my original character's love lives skfdkg. I tend to draw a couple piece of them or come up with new lore that's usually centered around V-day.
My friends and some other members on here may know that my original characters stem from my ACNH rep, Eris, and Fang (oc's name is Frey) so I decided to make this collage based on a combination of their shared interests, things Fang/Frey does for Eris, and activities they would do together during V-day.
I wanted to challenge myself by using blue as a main colour instead of the usual red/pinks you'd expect, while maintaining the
Valentine's Day theme. ^^ These two are more introverted so I imagine most of their V-Days would be spent at home together. Cozy gaming is definitely on the table, and there would definitely be cute candles around the house to set a mood, as well as some starry-like decorations because they're both into night sky/starry aesthetics and would find a way to merge these themes together.
I also included some writer's motifs like the quill pen and ink, and type writer because Fang/Frey is a writer and he's most definitely
writing love letters for Eris around this time of year.
I feel like compositions aren't my strong suit and this went through a few versions before
getting to a point I felt happy with, but overall this was a fun and challenging experience! :>
Tbh I can't even remember the last time I did a collage, but I ended up losing track of time and spending hours on this.
My ocs mean a lot to me, and Valentine's day is always a good excuse for me to indulge in them even more because I'm a hopeless romantic haha. This collage was a fun new way to "celebrate" this holiday with them, and I'm happy I can add it to their collection!

I made some minor edits in Procreate to get the final result. ^^

I think most of my Valentines I've been alone (no biggie) so I rather spent the day with the things I love and often bring me happines.
Pretty much the collage is about my cats (Menta and Rina
), cake (red velvet my beloved), coffe/matcha (pink because Valentine!) and computers+videogames 
Most of the references are photos of mine or random stuff from google, I can add them if needed.

For Valentineâs Day this year, it lands on a Friday when my husband and I are both working. It is very likely that on the actual Valentineâs Day, weâre going to be eating sweets (cookies, pies, and cakes). There might be some flower gifting and perhaps a plushies gifted. All while sitting on the couch afterwards to sit after a long day of work (or perhaps building that Lego set weâve had in its box for the past couple of weeks)
Here's my collage!! A lot of the ideas of what's included here are things I've thought about when trying to plan out things to do with my boyfriend on valentine's day, and then also just general valentine's themed thing's that I like!! I'm such a sucker for things with hearts honestly, so all the stuff that comes out around valentines has me weak
but it is very fun to look at even if I don't buy it all.

As far as shading or altering the images a bit, I'm fine with that.
A movie night at home with my spouse and with the pups is ideal for us. We both enjoy Chinese takeout. He really like the chicken on the stick appetizer in particular. What sounds good to me right now is a Lo Mein Dish. That cookie is one of the few that he enjoys too. He is kinda picky when it comes to sweets, but he likes to pick up a box of those frozen cookies and you can just take out a couple to set out when you want one. Double chocolate chip. We also enjoy popcorn while we watch movies. I didn't put dog treats in this, because I normally don't buy dog bakery stuff because there isn't any near by (which is sad) but I usually break them a piece of a fortune cookie when we get Chinese takeout.
The art is all clipart stuff, but here is where I grabbed them: clipartix, freepik, clipartbest, clipartmag, clipartworld, mavink.

I like valentines cards, I just think they're neat.
Also I added in some queer and bi representation, I really wish I was able to find some pre-made queer valentines, but I don't think I've ever seen any, which is pretty sad.
Took these pictures before I started, I didn't end up using all of the stickers pictured though. I thought these anime face ones were funny and wanted to include them somehow because they remind me of dating sims.

Alot of people forget that platonic love is just as important as romantic, and in my opinion should be celebrated equally.
So for the piece I included romances and friendships between a variety of characters. In a verity of different ways too.

My valentine has to have candy, so I have two of my favorites here.
Murder party - can't wait for these sessions! Hope to see it become a new tradition.
Cheesy cards - so, my husband and I exchange really silly cards on valentines, but the most interesting thing is- we somehow always manage to pick the same 'theme' for our cards. The pic is one i took of our cards one year.
