congrats!!! they're so hard to get lol. i ended up buying mine (on my old island. on my new one, i don't have many flowers at all. yet. lol)
I did also end up creating one on accident - two orange roses and some rain, which was quite odd.

There's nothing like the satisfaction of growing your own blue roses, I started early on as it was a goal of mine, as blue roses were my favourite flower from New leaf, although it felt like it took forever, it really is worth it

I FINALLY got my first blue rose today!!! I was bound and determined to breed them myself rather than trading for them (much like how I play the rest of the game). What a PROCESS though honestly but the animal crossing gods have blessed my stubborn ass and after eight freaking months of playing (usually two weeks on, two weeks off) I finally got one. HALLELUJAH

Despite the fact of existing guides how to breed flowers, I do prefer to get new / rare flowers with trials and errors. I do realise I will not be able to get all of those, but I have some already, like black lilies, roses, tulips - and recently I have a purple (blue?) tulip.
I do fully support your joy and encouraging you to keep it! Breeding flowers is fun, including waiting for another day and slowly achieving more.

i know the struggle all too well - unfortunately, my struggle hasn't been for blue roses. just.. blue or purple everything else

it's such an accomplishing feeling to stroll over to your flowers and to see some buds sprouting though. definitely makes all that watering and waiting worth it in the end <3
