7 seals?

I just watched something on the History channel, and it said the end of the world is going to end this way:
There is 7 hypothetical seals. (not the animal ._.) And God is breaking each seal, and as that happens it gets closer to the end of the world. Like the first seal broken caused the great depression, etc, and I think like the 5th one was the economy situation of 2008, etc. And once He breaks the 7th seal, there will be a great war, destroying more than half of the Earth's population, in which the war will be controlled by God and the Devil, and whoever wins (God or the Devil) will control who wins the war, this unkown species attacking Earth, or the humans. They also said that 7 could be the most unlucky number in the world because of several reasons I can't remember.
But the point is, do you believe this?
Frankly, I think it's pretty stupid.
And on this show they also said the Chinese Army could be evil. O.O
