Why I oppose the national anthem protests

Wouldn't forcing football players to stand for the national anthem also be someone pushing political views on people who disagree with it? It's not like they are getting paid more or less to stand during the anthem and it doesn't affect the way the game is played. So why is it necessary?

By putting in that rule, they aren't taking away their right to protest completely or telling them to stop supporting Black Lives Matter. If they don't want to stand for the anthem, they have the right to go to the locker room and protest. They do get fined for sitting down or kneeling to the flag on the field, but they don't get fined for being in the locker room during the national anthem. But I agree that the solution isn't pretty. If you're looking from the left, they're basically putting a price on their right to protest while it spurns the message Black Lives Matter is trying to push. If you're looking from the right, they are not only allowing them to be unpatriotic, but they're allowing them to not even show up on the field. But at least they can still protest while we don't have to watch them protest.
