-I would love to have an aquarium that functioned like a smaller version of the museum. Where different fish could actually have space to swim around. Even giant tanks for large fish that took up most of a room that could swim and place items in. Same with an item that could put bugs into the room like butterflies or spiders on the walls.

- Having the ability to change "Cliff walls" to stone brick like we do paths.

- A greenhouse item to store flowers, trees and shrubs.

- The ability to adjust where on a wall a doorway is in a home.

What are your wants?

- the ability to see which square we are aiming at when placing things/ terraforming
- more villager diversity in their text
- definitely also bulk crafting
- the ability to see how many of an item you already have in your inventory

I would love to have a greenhouse to store flowers , shrubs and trees.

Being able to put items on cliffs like the wall mounted candle

Being able to put rugs outside

Being able to have more villagers

Bulk buying at ables and to see if you have the clothing in your storage.

Mini games and more interactions with villagers

I would love to see the Gracie furniture collections make their way back.

I would love for Celeste to have a dedicated space.

I would enjoy being able to switch the cliff sides to the white ones that are in the 2.0 update.

Rugs outside would be HUGE

More villagers

And yes more design slots lol I still need more.

bulk crafting/customizing, a shopping cart in able's... any sort of QOL additions would be sick since nintendo hates those apparently.

but also perfect fruit??? it's such a tiny insignificant thing but i don't understand why they never brought it back to new horizons, it makes absolutely no sense to me. just give me my sparkly fruit damn it

Add tools that don't break at Nook's Cranny.
Add the basket and getting Tools for free on a Mystery and Kappa Island. In ACNL you went with empty pockets and were able to borrow tools from a Gyroid and place items in the basket.

I'd love to see these two villagers in the game.

I'd love to see these two villagers in the game.
That's Feylne from Monster Hunter right? I loved the cat mask that made this yelping sound whenever you put it on. It was hilarious. I really want that now haha.

As for the topic. I feel like we've exhausted these kinds of threads and discussions so much it's not funny. I'd settle for better multiplayer at this time now. None of my friends want to visit ever. Like now that I have the time to actually sit down and play/design they're all bored of the game now. Kind of sucks.

Shop upgrades, and resident services/ plaza upgrades. I just wish I could update their exteriors to go a little better with my town theme. I also miss how big nook’s shop used to get in previous games, I’m a bit confused as to why it wasn’t included in NH.

my answer is pretty much always the same every time this question gets asked haha, but these are the things i would/would’ve love/d to see the most!

perfect and tropical fruits. being able to find your non-native and sister fruits on kapp’n’s mysterious islands would’ve been really cool, too, especially for those who don’t have NSO and can’t trade with others.
a nook’s cranny upgrade.
the return of pelly, phyllis, pete and the post office! i love and miss those npcs so, so much, and i honestly don’t really care for new horizons’ mailing system. having to pay 200 bells just to send one letter when a 4-pack of stationery only costed 80 bells + mailing was free in new leaf is... eef lol.
tortimer’s island and club tortimer. i miss being able to beetle and shark farm year-round. :(
minigames.
playing hide-and-seek with my villagers.
the roost’s part-time job minigame from new leaf.
certain small details such as the campsite’s tent turning into an igloo during the winter, and our character shivering in the colder months + sweating in the hotter ones.
blanca and april fool’s day. i hate how so many small events were replaced with seasonal items instead, and i really just miss blanca lol.
dr. shrunk and his jokes. i miss him teaching us reactions, too. i definitely preferred that over our villagers doing it + buying certain reactions with bells and nook miles.
a way to dig up and get rid of flowers in bulk. it would’ve been great if this was a service that leif offered alongside his weeding service.
more hairstyles. i can never have too many lol. i also would’ve loved to be able to have more than one hair colour at a time (ex. one side black, the other blonde, or highlights) or being able to have more than one face-paint design on at a time.
more exterior options would be cool, for both our own home and for rs/the airport. i’m not a huge fan of the ones we have now. 😅
katie and kaitlyn, and having to escort them to different towns/islands. i miss doing that haha.
more custom design slots. i really appreciate the increase nintendo gave us before, but i’m already running out of space again lol. too many great designs out there. 🤣
certain missing furniture items from new leaf such as the snow bunny, fortune cookie items and gracie’s furniture sets. i also really miss the old bug-off, fishing tourney and egg/bunny day sets.
QoL upgrades such as an “add to cart” option at able’s, bulk crafting, etc would be fantastic.
being able to commission deep-sea creature models from either c.j. or a new npc altogether.

that’s about all i can think of rn. :’)

I know lots of people are probably making valid points here, esp with regard to bulk crafting fish bait etc.

But really, I would sacrifice all other improvements ever to be able to have 5 more villagers on my island - how would they fit? No idea, but I don’t even care.

I have too many favorites and it is a great trial to me, even 2 years later.

Unfortunately nothing's going to happen since there won't be any further updates, but:

- Minigames. Ideally, Tortimer wouldn't have been relegated to the role he has in New Horizons of being a storage locker, the mystery islands could've been a new feature for the Dodo Airlines, and Kapp'n still could've taken us to Club Tortimer. Or they could have worked out some alternative. But without minigames, there's little to do with friends online other than visit each other's shops for like five minutes and then leave.

- 10x10 expansion for all rooms of player housing. While some people are able to get enjoyment out of the proportions of the side rooms, second floor, and basement, I've had multiple concepts ruined by the rooms being too cramped to fit everything I want. As someone who cares more about interior design, has decorated their island as much as I'm going to and doesn't care about terraforming, part of the main appeal to the series for me just kind of...sucks in this installment. And it feels pointless to let us use the HHP pillars in our homes when the rooms are so awkward and restrictive.

- Home exteriors with more variety like the ones in New Leaf.

- Gracie and her fancy furniture and clothing. I love the Gorgeous Set of furniture in particular.

- Bulk crafting.

- Manilla clam stacks. Yes, I know they're living creatures, but you aren't donating them to the museum, and when you're making bait it's just inconvenient to have them take up so many individual slots in your pockets, have to head to the DIY bench, go back to digging. Especially with how many fish baits can be necessary for some rare fish.

- Able Sisters shopping cart.

- More hairstyles, particularly black hairstyles, and a stark white hair color option.

- More wetsuit colors/designs.

- Golden tools getting patched to not break. It seems pointless to earn them.

- Fossil miniatures from Cyrus if you have all of the pieces, like in New Leaf.

- Ores.

- Perfect fruit and dead trees. They would've looked nice with New Horizons' higher graphics.

- They'd never do it, since they were meant as a punishment, but I've always wanted rafflesias in these games. Unfortunately you could only get them by not developing your town in New Leaf by having less than 3 Public Works Projects, but that was impractical.

- All of the classic families of gyroids. While the new, smaller, cuter designs appeal to more people, I miss the old style. There were a bunch of different ones I liked.

- Snowman, Snowmam, and Snowtyke would be cool. Or, at least just Snowman. I loved Snowman Bingo.

- The campsite having an igloo instead of a tent during Winter.

- Mii masks maybe? I liked using them sometimes in New Leaf.

Probably more too, but that's what comes to mind readily. Might post again if I think of anything.

Bulk crafting for sure, even if it’s just the 1 or 5 like when you buy trees and things. I also miss the mini games from ACNL like the island escape and Tetris-like game that you played on the in game DS and Wii-U. And the tours from the summer island because it was nice to be able to play with your friends instead of just invite them over

- Dr. Shrunk
- The post office
- Mii masks
- Mini-games
- Bulk crafting
- The ability to have villagers follow you around like in Pocket Camp. They could be useful for storing more items, collecting materials, and reminding you about things.

I usually have a big list but at this point in the game's life, I'll keep it simple:

+ Move the Town Hall and Plaza. The spot of this location defines the rest of the town. There are so many creative places you could place it if you had the oppertunity.

+ Any kind of improvement or enhancement to terraforming. Terraforming is cumbersome and tidious, and it's so easy to destroy your town that I'd rather not use it other than to adjust a cliff or land for ramp or bridge.

+ It's going to be a long long time until the next Animal Crossing game releases, so anything to keep the current game relevant would be ideal.
