As the title suggests :p

I'm quite new to the game (had it around a month) and I've built the dream suite, but I don't really get the point apart from getting new ideas for your town layout etc. Am I missing something?

I think the whole point of it is to be able to explore other people's towns without having to add the person and go to their town, which would be very hard considering the 100 limit on the friend list. c:

It's another way to share ideas without having to worry about time-zone clashes, or having to worry about mischievous folks. Very convenient option. xD

If the town's player allows it, you can also find Wendell wandering in towns and he'll give you the option to copy any patterns if they originate from that specific town.

There are also some towns that are real works of art, made specifically for the dream suite so that players can enjoy them.
Such as the famous/infamous Aika Village, which is an incredibly intricate design that tells the story of a strange girl and the unsettling events surrounding her.
